was inspired to design this
version after seeing the plan in
Radio Modeller dated
December 1985 for 224” span
Konet for .15 engines. Tis model
was designed by John Ructer and
hada wing made from a fat sheer

servo mount for elevon contro.
decided to modify the model so
that it would make a reasonably
‘efcient glider. Recently in Sent
Fight, were published 3 series of
sections for use with swept backe
fying wings and thie inspired me to
build the model fist seen at Moel
Farrau, To date I have sold about
10 of these Komets to people at
‘our local hls by supplying a plan
anda set of veneered cores and 0
far bare fying
The mode! is capable of tight
loops without skewing out and will
hold inverted for some time, also
mukiple rolls are very easy with
the throws increased (10
consecutive rolls having been
achieved). The modest loading of
13.5 oz/sq fe means that the
Komet wil ly in quite lighe winds
3 long as itis allowed to fy at is
‘optmum speed which seems faster

Glue the wing panels together
with the wing upside down on the
building board so that dihedral is
given by the tapering of wing only.
Uifcesied a small amount of
dihedral can be added to lore any
