1.PhoneSuiteInstallationandConnection
A.InstallingCOMdriver: Switchthephoneon,connectthephonetothePCusingaUSBdatacableand selectCOMport.TheAddNewHardwareWizardpopsup(oryoucangotoStart ControlPanelAddHardwaretoinitiatethewizard).InstalltheCOMdriverfrom: \phonesuite\Driver\2k_XP_COM(98_Mass,98ME_COM) When the driver installation is successful, a prompt appears telling you that the USBModemDriverhasbeeninstalled.PressFinishtofinishtheinstallation. B.TestingthePortNumber. Go to Start Control Panel System Hardware Device Manager, double click Port(COMandLPT)andfind***USBModemDriver(COM?),where?standsfor portnumberCOM1;COM2;COM3;COM4;COM5(thenumbervariesdependingonPC configurations)

2.ModemConfiguration
A.ConnectthephonetothePCusingaUSBdatacable.Onyourmobilephone,select touseserialportforconnectionwithPC(insteadof).Then,inthePhonesuitewindow underGeneraltab,customizethesettingsasfollow:

B.GotoCreateConnectiontab,customizeyoursettingsbyreferringtothescreenshotbelow(for telecomoperator,selectChina_MOBILE).

C. Click Create to create a new network connection named GPRS_China_MOBILE, which establishesaconnectiontotheincludedGPRSModemoftheboundphone.IftheModemdriver hasnotbeeninstalled,adialogboxpopsuptoguideyouthroughtheinstallationprocess.Just decompress usb2ser_2k.zip file to the specified driver directory. Finally, you get a prompt indicatingthattheconnectionhasbeenestablished.

D. Now, in the Phonesuite settings window, under Dial Up tab, highlight GPRS_China_MOBILE andthenclickDialUp.PhonesuitestartstodialupautomaticallyandregisterthePCwebaddress. Intheend,yougetamessagesayingthatthedialupconnectionissuccessful.

E.YourPChasnowestablishedthenetworkconnectionviatheGPRSModemofyourmobile. In the View Network Connection window on your PC, you can also see that the network connectionnamedGPRS_China_MOBILE(boundtodeviceMTKGPRSModem)hasbeencreated.

 F.IESettings.Ifyoustillcannotconnecttoawebpage,pleasecheckyourIEsettingsasdescribed below: open Internet Explorer, go to Tools Internet Options Connection, highlight GPRS_China_MOBILEandclickSettings,inthewindowthatpopsup,checktheoptionDetect SettingsAutomatically,clickOKtoexit.

 7.TheWebServiceIsNowReadyForUse.
