this project was designed as one of six individual live/work structures intended to be combined to create a block of urban housing in Fargo ND with a shared open community courtyard. this piece of the block combines two separate housing units, an independent work space, a ground level retail space and a shared outdoor space.

Badi Chaupar is located North of Sanganeri Gate, at the intersection of Johari and Tripolia Bazaars. This project was design to respond to the question:
If the space within Badi Chaupar is re-designed, would it act as a catalyst and lead to the redesign of Choti Chaupar to the West and Ramganj Chaupar to the East? [keywords]
