    THETASBIHOFFATIMAZAHRA[PBUH] SecretoftheTasbih

    IntheHadithoftheAimmah(pbuh)thereisagreatdealofemphasison recitingthiseffectivetasbihofFatimaZahra(pbuh). Perhapsoneofthesecretsbehindthemeritsofrecitingthistasbihisashe hasbeenmentionedinahadithinwhichwearetoldthatamancameto ImamjafaribneMuhammadasSadiq(pbuh)andaskedhim:Whatisthe secretbehindtheKabahhavingfourrukn(corners)anditbeingcubicsquare (inshape)? TheImam(pbuh)replied,ItisbecausethebaitulMamurhasfourrukn. Thepersonthenasked,WhydoestheBaitulMamurhasfourrukn? TheImam(pbuh)said,BecausetheArshhasfourrukn. Themanfurtherasked:WhytheArshhasfourrukn? TheImam(pbuh)replied: DuetothefactthateveryArshisdependentupon(ormadefirm by)therukn(asitssupports).ThefirstoftheseisAllahuAkbar;the secondisSubhanallah;thethirdisAlhamdulillahandthefourthis LaIlahaIllallah. Thishadithalsomeansthatwhateverisinthismaterialworldhasasecret whichislinkedtothespiritualrealms. Withthishadithinmind,iftheProphet(s)taughtthistasbihtoFatimaZahra (pbuh)andattributedhernametoit,andifImamJafaribneMuhammadas Sadiq(pbuh)saidthat: Forus,torecitethistasbihisbetterthan1,000RakatofSalat thenitmeansthatthistasbihhastheabilitytotakeapersonuptotheArsh ofAllah!Perhapsitisforthisreasonthatsomeoftheconditionsforthe

    tasbiharethat:oneshouldfacetheQiblah,andbeinastateofWuduwhile engagedinitsrecitation. Thetasbih,justliketheSalat,alsohasthepowertospirituallyupliftaperson. Ifonemakesasincereintentiontorecitethesethreeimportantdhikr,and endsitoffwiththerecitationofLaIlahaIllalah,thencouldheseeotherthan AllahasGreatandPowerful,orwouldheeventhinkofpraisinganyoneother thanHim? Thereforewiththepassingoftimeandcontinuousrecitationofthistasbih, suchapersonwillhaveveryfewchancesofgoingastraybecausehehas takenholdofsomethingwhichhasnothingstrongertoit,andhehasgrasped ontotheArshofAllah. WeaskAllahthatHegivesusHissinfulservantstheabilitytoreachHis Arshandholdontothefirmestofallhandles!

    AmanwenttoImamJafaribneMuhammadasSadiq(pbuh)tocomplainto himabouthisstate.EventhoughtheImam(pbuh)wasspeakingtohim,he couldnothearwhattheImam(pbuh)wassaying.Themanthenbeganto complaintotheImam(pbuh)ofverybadearsachestowhichtheImam (pbuh)askedhim,WhyareyounegligentofthetasbihofFatimaZahra (pbuh)? Themanquestioned,MayIbesacrificedforyour!Whatisthetasbihof FatimaZahra(pbuh)? TheImam(pbuh)replied,ReciteAllahuAkbar34times;Alhamdulillah33 timesandSubhanallah33timesasthismakesacomplete100 (rememberances), Themanstatedthat,AfterashortperiodoftimethatIrecitedthistasbihat continuously,thepaininmyearswentaway.(TasbihatofFatimaZahra [pbuh],Page 27)

    O Allah! Send blessings on Fatima and her father, her husband and her sons, and by the secret installed in her which only is in Your knowledge.
