We initiated systematic organic farming in commercial projects on our own land, to test and verify its feasibility and success. Only then did we take the idea forward with four strategic business units, namely : Enviro Farms, Agri-Consulting, Contract Farming and Produce Marketing. Building upwards from the successful blueprint of organised and scientific organic farming, we have established ourselves as producers and marketeers for organic produce. We are well geared to supply major international markets with processed, fresh and dehydrated produce. Further we also market fresh and processed fruits and vegetables under our brand Organo FreshTM and other products like dehydrated fruits, nuts, cereals and seeds under Organo WorldTM in the domestic and international markets. A value proposition based on working hand-in-hand with the community In true adherence to our lineage, Ion Exchange Enviro Farms combine business objectives with corporate responsibility of good land use, environmental protection, community development and employment generation. We follow fair trade practices wherein middlemen are eliminated, child labour is banned, man and woman are given equal status and transparency in trade is maintained. We do contract farming with community grower groups on large acreage, on a profit sharing basis, and train them in scientific organic farm management and certification. In the process, we bring to rural areas the best of organic processes and water management practices, thereby empowering and educating the farmers. We also specialise in Agri-Consulting, providing customised agro-business solutions for a domestic and international clientele.

Towards an Organic World

At Ion Exchange Enviro Farms, the equation between soil type, climate conditions and the produce is meticulously worked out so that the right crop is cultivated on the right plantation site. A case in point: The Konkan area is renowned for the world's most famous Indian Alphonso Mangoes . Ion Exchange Enviro Farms has a plantation of 87,000 mango trees here! The Organic Pineapple produce from our plantations has good colour and aroma, and is naturally sweet. We produce almost all varieties of pineapples like Queen, Spanish and Cayane. Ion Exchange Enviro Farms' further focus is the production of Organic Banana which has a worldwide demand for use in baby food. The above fruits are marketed by us in fresh, processed to pulp / juice and dehydrated forms. We have a plantation of over 13,500 cashew trees in the Konkan area producing quality Organic Cashew Nuts. Cashew nuts from this region are preferred worldwide for their colour, texture and taste. We offer premium quality Organic 'Banny' Cotton, with long staple suitable for manufacturing high quality organic dress material. Organic Sesame, rich in Vitamin B, is an important nutritional additive to salads and dressings. India is the 5th largest producer and exporter of organic sesame. We offer white and black varieties, natural and hulled seeds. Basmati Rice, as known by its name, is "the fragrant one", considered the prince amongst the 1400 varieties of rice available in the world. Originating in India it has a fine aromatic flavour making it the most demanded across the globe. We offer both White and Brown Organic Basmati. Ion Exchange Enviro Farms offers Food and Feedgrade Organic Soyabean and a variety of Organic Millets, the earliest known and most nutritious of cereals.

Setting a bio-dynamic benchmark Our relentless efforts to work in synergy with nature has elevated us to the next stage of organic farming - the bio-dynamic plane. Several of our farms follow bio-dynamic methods of cultivation using organic practices such as crop rotation, recycling through compost and liquid manures, and increasing plant and animal bio-diversity. Use of special plant, animal and mineral preparations stimulate and balance vital processes in soil and plants. These methods lead to a natural reduction of pests and diseases in plants and animals, and an increase in the nutritive and health-giving value of food produce.
