Engineers Day 2007 Background

In India September 15 is celebrated as Engineers’ Day to honour Sir Mokshagundam

Visvesvarayya, an eminent engineer and statesman and recipient of the Indian republic's highest
honour, the Bharat Ratna, in 1955.

On this occasion NIIT acknowledges the contribution of engineers to the advancements in

science and technology which has resulted in the growth and prosperity which we see around us
today. To mark the significance of all our budding engineers in the technology sector which NIIT is
associated with, NIIT offers fee benefit to engineering students to upgrade their skills in key
software technologies like Solaris, Microsoft SQL Server, Java, .Net and Oracle.

Applicability:

The following edgeineers programs will be covered under this benefit scheme. The benefits are
subject to applicable programs available at respective centres.

Benefit:
Rs.1,000 waiver on the above mentioned programs.

Duration of the offer :

The benefits will be available only for the registrations for the month of September 2007, i.e. from
1st September 2007 to 30th September 2007.

Execution:
The benefits will be passed on to students by way of new fee-patterns at reduced fee for the
month of September 2007. The cost of respective courseware kits will be adjusted to the new fee
patterns.

Encore Fee Pattern Availability:

The Encore fee patterns for the above programs will be available for all centers replicating on
(calendar date) 3rd September 2007.
