**Hispanic Heritage Month Kicks Off With Recommended Reading List: In celebration of this
years Hispanic Heritage Month, the Fla. Dept. of Educations Just Read, Florida! has released a list of recommended reading. The list is designed to encourage more students to read & learn about the rich cultural diversity & countless contributions of the worlds many Hispanic cultures. See the display in the FCS library & check out the books from the reading list.

**H/S Baseball Meeting: Today, Sept. 21 during breakfast - H/S students interested in playing baseball this
school year are to pick up their breakfast, then report to Coach Emersons room, 1218.

**PICTURE DAY:

Monday - Sept. 26 for K-11 grades - students must wear school shirts!

No money is required parents will order pictures when the proofs arrive.

**11th Annual Estuaries Day: Friday, Sept. 23, at the new Reserve Facility, 108 Island Drive, Eastpoint, 1:306:30pm. Special activities: Tours of facility - Fun Games - Live Exhibits - Door Prize Drawing for Adults @ 6:00pm. Enter on Island Drive entrance for parking. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Free Estuaries Day T-shirts for ages 3 & up for first 600. NO ALCOHOL OR PETS PLEASE.

**Franklin County Oyster Festival: Oct. 7-9 5K Run on Saturday morning, Oct. 8, in the state park Fishing

GED CLASSES @ Franklin County School


FALL CLASS DATES TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON! The next GED Test will be given Sept. 26 & 27 at the Franklin County School library at 6:00pm. To register for the test contact Linda Bradley during GED classes or Maxine Creamer @ 670-4481.
