Client : ASAS Subject : ASAS Twin Towers Cleaning Refurbishment Works Order No. 09-527
With reference to your quotation AC/sf/10/QB-058 dated 23rd March 2010 and our subsequent discussions regarding the above mentioned subject, we hereby issue our Works Order for the supply of labour and materials for the Cleaning / Refurbishment of ASAS Tower under the following terms and conditions. TERMS AND CONDITIONS The Works Order is made between ASAS, P.O. Box 19380, Doha, Qatar, herein after called the Client an Apollo Enterprises, herein after called the Sub-Contractor to execute the Scope of Works as mentioned below. 1. SCOPE OF WORKS A. Cleaning of Pre-cast Stone Panels and Concrete Stairwell (including coating treatment) The pre-cast stone panels and concrete stairwell walls are blackened, as a result from fire damage and molten bituminous deposits released from the previously installed aluminium fascia cladding. Procedure trials have been conducted, where it has been determined, the best method to remove the deposits is by abrasive sweep blasting (utilizing recycled garnet abrasive). It is intended to provide an initial flash blast to the heavily affected areas, then re-sweep blast to provide a level of uniformity to the cleaned substrate After surface preparation has been completed, the pre-cast stone panels are to receive a single coat application of clear epoxy sealer. NB : It should be noted that the final finish cannot be guaranteed to match in colour to other non-affected panels located on the west; east and north elevations, since we are using a clear sealer. Due to the nature of the stone panels, there is a likelihood that shadows will be cast, where visually, it could appear that there is a non-uniformity of finish.

If there is a requirement to try to provide a colour match to existing panels, then an external quality masonry coating may need to be applied, but this will require application in two coats and not provided for in this quotation.
