GENERATION I
The mineral oil base products
became popular several years ago.
Mineral oil is a petrochemical that is
very similar to the motor oil used in
your car. The cosmetic companies
used it as an inexpensive emollient
or “glider” for their products. The
side effects clogged pores, irritated
skin and dried skin adding a greasy
residue.

GENERATION II
Next came the process of “peeling”
the top layer of the skin to expose
the younger fresh skin underneath.
These processes were through
microdermabrasion, glycolic peels,
retin A and alpha–hydroxyl. These
procedures have offered some ef-
fective benefits. Doctor’s are finding
that these treatments need to be

BARRIER REPAIR
TECHNOLOGY
The top layer of our skin is
responsible for keeping moisture in and
allergens from entering the body. The
problem is many things can attack this
barrier, including harsh cleansers, UV
exposure, hot water, cold air, and con-
ventional lotions and soaps. Synergy’s
Barrier Repair Technology is a patented
