About the Competition

Teaching pedagogy in B-schools has metamorphosed from teachingcentric to learning-centric, as business has become more complex and challenging than ever before. Lecturing, the oldest and most popular pedagogical tool is no longer the only effective medium. Future managers need to establish a bridge between theory and practice in order to make learning more effective and efficient. The effectiveness of case teaching often depends on the quality of the case considered for elucidating a concept in hand. This case writing competition is intended to energize the development of cases related to Indian management issues and opportunities. The cases should address the unique characteristics of Indian businesses, to promote substantive discussion about Indian management practices and challenges. The cases should therefore describe a management issue occurring: Within an Indian company in India or any other country. Within the Indian operations of a foreign company.
