We are focused on safety and the environment. You should too. Find out what strategies and technologies will work for you.
Why attend OSEA2010 International Conferences?
Listen to industry leaders from operators and cutting-edge technology providers, to understand how to increase operational efficiency and improve ROI. Gain international perspectives from experts and practitioners, to gain insights into the ever changing global industry. Network and develop relationships with potential business partners at the conference, and at the Industry Networking Night.
OSEA International Conferences have been a well-recognised platform for the gathering of the oil and gas industries since being established in 1976. The conferences have evolved over the years to address pertinent issues in the offshore industry, and have always been highly relevant to participants. This year, we launch the first ever Leaders Summit to focus on health, safety and environment issues. Health and safety is a critical part of the oil and gas sector where high risk operations are involved. And environmental concerns are more pressing than ever with the recent spate of incidents in the global industry. To understand how these will impact your organisation, and be able to respond with appropriate strategies, the Leaders Summit is a must-attend! Our highly demanded and well-received Exploration, Production, and Gas Technology conferences will bring together leading experts and professionals to discuss strategic business issues facing decision makers in the industry, as well as to provide insights into (new) technologies that are shaping operations and impacting bottomlines.
The following job titles: Chairman, CEOs, CFOs, COOs, Managing Directors Directors, Vice President Heads of Oil & Gas/Engineering/Production/ Exploration/Offshore Operations/LNG Principal/Chief Engineers Project Managers, Engineers, Geophysicists Analysts/Consultants Director Generals/Government Policy Planners Heads of Sales/Business Development/Marketing Lawyers/Partners/In-house Counsel From these sectors: NOCs/IOCs Engineering, Construction & Contracting Rig Construction/Offshore Engineering Geological and Seismic Surveying Drilling Services and Supplies Oil & Gas Exploration Oil & Gas Processing/Refining Government Agencies Investment Banks, Project Financiers Legal/Consulting Firms

An explosion at BPs Texas City Refinery in March 2005 cost the lives of 15 people and injured nearly 200 more. BP had failed to learn the lessons of earlier incidents, such as the Esso Longford Gas Plant explosion, that major hazards are quite distinct from the hazards that give rise to most occupational injuries and must be managed quite differently. This presentation explores the reasons for this failure to learn, focusing on the companys organisational structure and its incentive systems.
