y name is Suyoung Yang and I'm currently a 9th grade student at Yongsan International School of Seoul. My goal in life is to obtain a job in the future, as a an acknowledged Architectural Designer to be a part of creating unique designs of constructions to represent our community and continue to inspire others. I wish to take this job very seriously and be a professional architect who can stay committed to their job. College Plan: I intent to go to a high-level college in America but I'm not necessarily aiming for an Ivy League. I'll be majoring in Architecture as well as pursue a bachelor's or master's degree in that category. I would also like to take extra courses in Mathematics and Science because I believe it'll be of great help to me in the future when I actually get a job as an architect. I want go attend a college that is mostly focused on art and design - sort of like an "art school". I wouldn't mind if the school isn't big, as long as they emphasize on originality and expression and provide professional degrees. Starting My Career: Like I mentioned, I would like to continue my education and earn a degrees. At the same time I'll take architecture internships where I can start by working at a small operation and gradually move onto a big firm where I can develop my skills on architecture, graphic design, engineering and even learn how to make smallscale models. I can help with other architectural designers by contributing my ideas and giving suggestions. I would also like to find a mentor that I can meet with regularly during my internships. Development of My Career: After getting an idea of the job as an architectural designer and types of skills needed, I will start as an apprentice at an actual company/organization where I can start to participate in the process of modeling and planning. I also want to start designing an actual building, by sketching the general appearances as well as where it will be built and how it's going to look on the inside. Even if my goal is to be an architect in the category of design and constructing, I can try different types such as: interior architecture, landscape architecture and architectural technology.

Capstone of My Career: When I've settled with my job as a professional architect, I want to aim for the head of a wellknown construction industry to represent my coworkers and myself. I wish to be an expert in the field of building design and construction in order to work with different members like the engineers, builders, city planners and inspectors. My ultimate goal is to be of positive influence to my society in every aspect, by conserving buildings, redeveloping parts of the town/city and creating innovative designs that will enhance new ways of living.
