am a high school student currently enrolled in Yongsan International School of Seoul. I've been here for a little over a year now but from this school as well as my previous school which is the Jakarta International School, I've learn to love Art. My high school years are when I established a definite answer for my future. I've interacted with so many different art teachers, visiting artists and my aunt who's also a designer of her own clothing line to really learn about the different types of art as well as design skills. Art is a topic, a major, a job that needs much of communication in many different ways as well as Perseverance and determination. My goal is to become a successful designer who has established all of the following skills mentioned above. A Little Ahead.. I would like to attend a college in the U.S. that offers numerous different art classes as well as classes of other topics. I would like to major in fashion apparel and minor in marketing or a manufacturing business so I can come up with my own clothing line. If I land in a big college, I'm hoping they'll have other classes that has to do with social skills such as interaction with others and psychology classes. I'm really looking forward to my college years as I'm planning to take a lot of internships as well for different fashion companies in various places over the world. The New Start The first job I would like to work in would be as a designer in any fashion companies I desire. I've already heard about first hand experiences where people from certain universities have taken internships for Vera Wang, Victoria Secret and etc. As a designer of such companies, when a new project is announced, designers are able to come up with their own styles to present to the heads of the meeting and if the effort is recognized, the designer's work is chosen out of the others to produce as a separate clothing line. There are many branch names under one brand such as Marc by Marc Jacobs and Jill by Jill Stuart. Sometimes, the name of the designer is printed on the products they

designed instead of the big brand names. I hope to explore a number of different internships to find out where i fit in best. The Next Step in to the Next Door From these internship I think I'd be able to choose the kind of job and position I would want to apply for. I'm pretty sure that it'll be a designer of some brand I feel I connect best with. I think from seeing how these different companies work I'll be able to choose or organize my own company in a particular way that matches the way I work. I'm not expecting this pathway to be easy, I know there are times when I'm going to run in to challenges and problems that might knock me down but I'll learn to stand back up, to grow as a person. On the Other Side of the Door Now that I've reached my goal of the job I wanted and the position, I would work hard to maintain it. Running my own company will not be easy, especially when I start making branches in various parts of the world. I will work hard to maintain my company and keep running along side success. I hope to inspire others and influence people in a positive way by portraying my ambitions that have been achieved. I'm not sure if I'll ever feel like there's a stopping sign but I'll probably run past it to keep living the way of life I've established for my self. As I think of retirement I'll probably reflect back on my career and see if I've given back as much as I've been granted. I think the goal of my career life is just to keep jogging alongside success and to keep my effort up on maintaining what I've created.
