19. ......you may choose to go a step further and make the star 3-D to use as an ornament on the tree. First you take the paper on the bottom right, hold it straight up, then point it to the right and then turn it in the direction as you see in the picture. It will look something like a collar when done right. You will tuck this (here green paper) under the top left point. Try not to bend the paper. (Here in the picture there is a red strip facing towards the right. You may have to pull this piece back with your left index finger and thumb if it in your way during this step.)

20. The here green piece should come out through the top left point of the star. If it becomes difficult to pull the paper through, cut the ends to a thinner point so that they fit easier through the flap.

21. Pull the paper tight so it makes a standing point. Turn your star 90 to the left and do steps 19-21 again. You will do this a total of 4 times. Once completed, you have 4 standing points. Flip your work over and do the same exact steps again on the other side of the star. When finished, you have 8 standing points..

22. Cut the excess strips of paper away along the points.
