Friends of John Hoeven Joint Fundraising Notice Friends of John Hoeven is a joint fundraising committee established by Hoeven for Senate and Dakota PAC. Joint fundraising proceeds will be allocated as follows: The first $5,000 of any contribution by an individual or non-multicandidate federal PAC, or the first $10,000 of any contribution by a multicandidate federal PAC, shall be allocated to Hoeven for Senates primary election account and Dakota PAC on an equal basis (1/2 each); however, if any contribution is determined to exceed the contribution limit to Hoeven for Senates primary election, then the excessive portion of the contribution shall be re-allocated to Hoeven for Senates general election account. The remaining $5,000 of any contribution by an individual or non-multicandidate federal PAC shall be allocated to Hoeven for Senates general election account and Dakota PAC on an equal basis (1/2 each). The remaining $5,000 of any contribution by a multicandidate federal PAC shall be allocated to Hoeven for Senates general election account. Notwithstanding this formula, contributors may designate their contribution to either committee to the extent permitted by federal law. The allocation formula may change if a contributor makes a contribution which would exceed the amount the contributor may give to a committee. Any portion of a contribution that would cause a contributor to exceed any applicable contribution limit to both committees or that is otherwise not permissible under federal law shall be refunded to the contributor. The legal maximum that an individual may contribute to Friends of John Hoeven in 2011 is $10,000. Individuals should review their contribution histories to determine how their contribution will affect their biennial (2011-2012) aggregate contribution limit. The legal maximum that a federal multicandidate PAC may contribute in 2011 is $15,000. Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year. Contributions to Friends of John Hoeven are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes. Contributions by corporations, foreign national and federal government contractors are prohibited. Paid for by Friends of John Hoeven, a joint fundraising committee established by Hoeven for Senate and Dakota PAC. Not printed at government expense.
