SOURCE: The Gospel according to Spiritism, XVIII: 6-9 - Matthew, V: 19 - VII: 21-23, 24-27 - Luke, VI: 46-49.
SYNTHESES: Not everyone that sayeth unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter in to the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in Heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity (Matthew, VII: 21-23). Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the flood came, and the winds blew, and beat upon the house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. () (Matthew, VII: 24-27 Luke, VI: 46-49) Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of Heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. (Matthew, V: 19). * All who recognize the mission of Jesus say; Lord! Lord! But of what use is it to call Master or Lord when you do not follow His precepts? * Are they Christians then, who honor Him with exterior acts of devotion while at the same time making sacrifice to pride, selfishness, greed and all the passions? * Are they then His disciples, those who pass their days in prayer, yet show themselves no better, nor more charitable, nor more indulgent towards their fellow beings? * No, seeing that as the Pharisees, they have prayer in their lips but not in their hearts. * They can impress men with their manner, but not God. * In vain they can say to Jesus; Lord! Do we not prophesy, that is to say, do we not teach in Your name? Do we not expel demons in Your name? Do we not eat and drink with You? * He will reply to them: I know not who you are; go away from me, you who commit iniquity, you who deny by your acts what you say with your lips, who slander your neighbour, who rob widows and commit adultery. Go away from me, you whose hearts distil hate and bile, who spill the blood of your brothers and sisters in My name, who cause tears to flow instead of drying them. For you there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, seeing that Gods Kingdom is for those who are gentle, humble and charitable. Do not expect to bend Gods justice by the multiplicity of your words nor the amount of your kneeling. * The only pathway which is open wherein you may find grace in His sight, is by the sincere practice of the law of love and charity. . * The words of Jesus are eternal because they are the truth. * They constitute not only a safe conduct to celestial life, but also a pledge of peace, of tranquility and the stability of earthly things. Jesus' teaching is about life, the life of the spirit, He didn't come to train us to knead bread or how to build an airplane, but to instruct us on our true life, the spiritual life, the life of the spirit, the eternal life, but many do not see in those teachings more than the terrestrial life and they are consequently imediatistas and if the spirit is sick and contemplates in the body its sores, they want the immediate cure of the body and come to Jesus and say: "Cure us Lord." Having lack of things or needs they come to Jesus and say: Provide for me, give me, help me, they want Jesus to do everything, whilst Jesus wants us in our own feet and tells us: "take up your cross and follow me", (Matthew, XVI: 24) Forgive not seven times whoever offends you, but seventy times seven" (Matthew, XVIII: 21,22) Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him" (Matthew, V: 25), sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee (John, V: 14) ,"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you (Luke, XI: 9-13),"For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath (Matthew, XIII: 12 - XXV: 29) Unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other (Luke, VI: 29), "seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you,
(Matthew, VI: 33).
Jesus gives us these work routines for us to increase ourselves spiritually, that is: Heaven helps him who helps himself", (The Spirits Book, question, 663) they will help in the gaining of merits, virtues, vocations, survival means in the Earths journey, Jesus reminds us the laws of causes and effects: "Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword, (Matthew, XXVI: 52), in the same way he who blesses will be blessed, he who comforts, will be comforted, he who dries tears will have his tears dried, he who loves will be loved, he who is friendly will have friends, he who is charitable will be aided, he who tries to love God and wanting to help his neighbour, will be inspired and will have forces for such, he who suffers without complaining or condemning somebody else for his sufferings, will be consoled; he who carries his cross with patience and resignation will be relieved; he who asks to God: "Lord may thy Will be done" (Matthew, XII: 50), with faith and resignation, God stops, He stops to observe who is making Him such a request, because we all are selfish and we ask let it be done: Our will, Lord give me, Lord cure me, Lord, provide me with money, Lord do for me, Lord do instead of me; Lord punish my enemies, Lord take off my road those demons, Lord, do protect me, Lord when I die give Heaven to me! Lord I don't like so-and-so, order him to hell! Then somebody who began to learn with Jesus appears, to say: Lord Thy Will be done", (John, VI: 39) God stops, to smile at Jesus and tells him: Thank you, You taught well and I hear the voice of the little one that learned, let us go and see what he wants! And Jesus surprisingly looks also to see who learned a little of what He came into the world to teach and he will rejoice when He analyzes the heart of that dear being and finds honesty in depositing his will in the Will of God, and He will come to shelter in that heart, as a little bird takes shelter in a nest and it will be like St. Paul spoke: "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me, (Galatians, II: 20), it is like this, because the teachings after having been assimilated bring their fruits for the good and the beautiful. Let us try to follow Jesus in His examples, (John, XIV: 23) more than we may be able and the
Legions of Jesus disciples are alegionated to Jesus, so much in the beyond as well as besides us and in his name they help us, instruct us, wish us well, love us, give us assistance, and they accompany us. And, Spiritism is not more than the Spirits of the Lord who come in due time to urge us to love one another and to instruct ourselves and with the Spiritism we are already going on in learning much of Jesus' teachings that were hidden through the times, Jesus reminded us, that the Comforter would remind us, in other words, he would bring to memory his teachings and really the Spiritism is comforting, consoles us, removes from us the fear and terror we have in facing life and the future, our learning is slow, but now we know that there is reincarnation, as a pardon of God and gift so we may develop and have progress and get ourselves right with the laws of God, our successes and mistakes. On that hour, in the hour of accounts with Jesus, many will present themselves to Jesus with empty hands, however, God will not abandon them, but will give them opportunity in reincarnation for their gaining merit before Jesus and God. May His will be done. God doesn't want the heretic's condemnation, but that the heretic repent himself, in other words, a change of attitude and be saved! Let the wicked forsake his way (Isaiah, 55:7-13). The will of God impels us and attracts us to Himself, the more obstinate will delay much more time in their persistence until they wake up for life and surrender to the will of God, so that In Him they may have their happiness and their life made real or accomplished. May God wish so and be with us, as formerly, today and always!
