A while ago, I was accused of casting value judgments on people by one of my female critics. She accused me of being a dick because I questioned the reasoning of one of my acquaintences, a confused Japanese man who squandered away his fortune in the Philippines through a shaky investment deal on a fate healing clinic that specializes in psychic surgery. The dude claimed that he was being advised by Jesus and Moses at the same time on what direction he should take with his life and his clinic. What really pissed me off about him though was that he was a graduate of one of Japan's most prestigious universities. His area of study was mathematics, so I know his reasoning skills have to be sound, but obviously wasn't. I had made other comments also about another male acquaintance I know who sits down when he urinates. Because I had questioned these individuals I was labelled a "dick" for making value judgment calls on these individuals by an overly sensitive female.

But I wonder how broad a meaning does value judgment dene? Women have been making value judgement calls on men since the 70s. Since when is it bad to question another persons reasoning and conviction? I take it we all do. I get accused by feminist [ femi-nazi ] on just about everything that falls out of line with popular contemporary feminist thought because I question the extent of white worship in Japan, and the growing multi-culturalist ideal that young people are starting to embrace here.

The voice of the growing feminist movement in Japan is being fueled by the female expat community in Japan and through foreign media which is beginning to challenge the old mindset and the traditional values of Japanese women and society. It's these voices that are slowly ltering through and causing a value shift that's just now starting to be felt in this country. The deeper spread of Christianity is a big part of that, and it's causing people to question their belief system, and their own institutions without rst studying their own past and the historical consequences of religion in a country that has a nonanglo majority.

I always question the reason behind people's reasons, and so should others. Why does Japan have to shed its traditions and old value systems? What's to replace it? Why do feminist have to come here and marry henpecked Japanese men when all they really need is to marry their own women and procreate in order to stave off a demographics shift?
