RELEASE NOTES

1. Product Overview
Avaya one-X Mobile for Nokia S60 mobile phones lets workers put their office phone in their pocket. The solution equips Nokia S60 enterprise smart phones with access to Avayas flagship Avaya Communication Manager Software, enabling users to be accessible via one business number and use a single voicemail system whether they are in the office or mobile. Irrespective of their work locations, users have access to the same enterprise communication capabilities found in the office such as call pickup, conferencing, and transfer, all leveraging the corporate IP network. The application also allows users to switch between personal and business calls, avoiding the need to manually separate the different calls for billing purposes. Avaya one-X Mobile is specifically designed to unify the user experience and access for Extension to Cellular by providing graphical interfaces on common operating systems for mobile devices. From a mobile/wireless telephony user perspective, the Avaya one-X Mobile product line provides: 1. The traditional graphical user experience of the mobile platforms. 2. Avaya-specified interface themes and metaphors to enhance the user experience. 3. A dedicated graphical user interface for wireless users of Extension to Cellular services by anchoring graphical menus to Feature Name Extensions (FNEs) that previously had to be memorized or placed manually in speed dial lists.

2. Settings File Creation

The Avaya one-X Mobile software and example settings file is available from: http://support.avaya.com/ under the application name Avaya one-X Mobile. Refer to the user guide [1] for mobile device software installation procedures. After software installation and before usage, Avaya one-X Mobile version 4.7 must be configured with a proper settings file. Two example settings file are zipped and available in the download package, a blank and an example text file with tag value pairs. The values that go in the settings file must come from the PBX administrator the mobile extension is associated with before the file can be loaded on to a device. The values are primarily Feature Name Extensions and come from the off-pbx-telephone feature-name-extensions administration screen. Procedures to access this screen are available in the Avaya Communication Manager Administrator guide [2].

The following basic rules apply for filling in the settings file: The following tags MUST have values, U.S. example:
INTERNATIONAL_DIRECT_DIAL_PREFIX = 011; NATIONAL_DIRECT_DIAL_PREFIX = 1; HOME_COUNTRY_DIAL_CODE = +1; ARS_CODE = 9; EXTENSION_LENGTH = 4; NATIONAL_NUMBER_LENGTH = 10; USERS_EMERGENCY_NUMBERS = 123,999,911;

Do NOT modify the tag name or equals sign, example:

NATIONAL_DIRECT_DIAL_PREFIX =

Do NOT remove any tag rows. If values are unavailable or not provided, simply leave the value position blank, example:
CALL_PICKUP_DIRECTED = ;

Do NOT remove the terminating semi-colon All values must go between the = and ; as in this example:
CALL_PICKUP_GROUP_EXTENDED = 5512;

Make CERTAIN the file ends in .1xme.

NOTE: This software release also supports multiple national number lengths. Please follow the configuration section within the user documentation for more information. The settings file should be tested by a PBX administrator to ensure accuracy. The verified settings file can then be loaded on a mobile device to configure Avaya one-X Mobile for any extension on that PBX. Please refer to the user guide [1] for settings file installation instructions. Quick start: Use Nokia PC Suite to copy the settings.1xme over to the flash-drive of the mobile device. Within Avaya one-X Mobile go to the left soft-key [Menu][Settings][Download Config File] select, then using the left softkey again [Menu][Select File] and use the file browser to traverse to where the settings.1xme file was stored and use the left soft key to [Open] the file. Avaya one-X Mobile should then import the settings file and exit. Restart Avaya one-X Mobile and it will be ready for use.

The tag names in the settings file do not match the PBX administration screen exactly. Here is table to assist in loading the values into a settings file:
