Principal Madam presided over the meeting.

The Presiding Officer of SCON expressed her joy that many good things have taken place at SCON in these 2 months. Panache sports activity and ACCN course has been launched on 24/10/2011.

2.

Academics

Theory All Class Coordinators to look into the following aspects carefully.
a.

All coordinators to ensure 100 % attendance in clinical area so as to remove the TNG norms. Try this for theory also. Discuss the issue of TNG in case of Late admissions with the Presiding officer SCON.

c. Regular evaluation of lectures by the senior faculty.

Make sure that the students are in time for the external lectures At the end of each unit, a test must be conducted for duration of 1 hour that includes MCQs, Short answers and Long answers. In next 48-72 hrs, the test marks are to be handed over to the coordinator. All subject in-charges to conduct a unit test and submit the marks by 18/10/2011. Academic coordinator, Class coordinators and SNA Advisor must check that the above mentioned job is done in time. Ms. Sheetal Tupe to make herself available for at least 2 hrs/day to engage Computers and First Aid classes for 1st year BSc Nursing.

Clinicals

Clinical instructors in the field must maintain technical details. Do not write trivial matters and avoid wastage of time.

c. The report can be written in short with technical words (i.e. case presentations, clinical teachings supervised so on)

Ms. Sonu George to show the Clinical rotation plan for 4th year BSc Nursing Mrs. A Seeta Devi to divide the OBG syllabus for 3rd year and 4th year BSc Nursing clinical Experience.

Ms. Supriya To inform Dr. Sammita Jadhav to make their students attend the lectures on First Aid whenever possible.

To draft a letter requesting Mr. Sanjay Khande to deliver few lectures on Computers.

To motivate the students to study regional languages especially Hindi/Marathi which will be helpful to give health education to the patients and families.

Optional course- Hindi or Marathi must be taken for the F.Y.B.Sc (N) students The students must write one article from Hindi Newspaper and practice speaking regional languages.

Coordinator for M. Sc (N) and can take necessary guidance from Mrs. Meenakshi Gijare whenever required. To complete the eligibility of M. Sc (N) students To get ready with the M. Sc (N) Prospectus

Mrs. A Seeta Devi

To divide the academic duties among staff as it is a very big job to be accomplished. To tie up with Mrs. Meenakshi and Mrs. Sheela and work together. To arrange for external lecturer for Pathology. Plan for the periodical examination, November-2011.

Take Hospital permissions for M. Sc (N)

Mrs. Sheela to look into faculty evaluation

Mrs. Meenakshi To meet Madam Nagre in regards to the Mumbai activities.


Scholarships - To complete the job and do not lose on the Dates. Carry out a meeting with Mr. Soman in regards to UGC grants. Formulate a Research Cell at Symbiosis College of Nursing. To plan for Journal Club Research activities for M. Sc (N) students

3. Administration Any Letter from the University must be replied immediately.


Leave can be exhausted now. All to be courteous in demanding the job done from class IV employee as they are over burdened with lot of different jobs. All to stop XEROXING unnecessarily and help the college budget remain at manageable level.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Project

The Presiding officer appreciated Ms. Manisha for taking a very big job of ERP and her active participation into its training.

5.

Faculty Development Programme

Mrs. Sheetal Waghmare to make a presentation on the FDP organized at Nashik. As discussed in the Heads Meet- All staff to get ready with the articles and research presentation for the month of May-2012. Mrs. A Seeta Devi to look into it.

Mrs. Meenakshi to encourage staff to go for PhD. Ms. Manisha to encourage staff and students to enroll for English courses at ELTIS, ACLS-BLS, and students for Photography. Ms. Sonu George to get the FDP register signed periodically.

6. Admissions

Mrs. Sheela to look into the admissions strictly. 60-P.B.B.Sc (N), 20M.Sc (N), and 20 B.Sc (N) - MUST All staff to sincerely put their efforts and work for the admissions

7. Insurance

Ms. Sonu to make a presentation regarding Insurance. Can take help of Mr. Benson T. Mathai.

Conferences No job has been done yet. a. Mrs. Surekha


To look into - Medico-Legal Issues in Nursing Conference. To look into Criticare Conference

b. Mrs. A Seeta Devi


To look into the International Conference. Contact SOMI and get the initial letters drafted.

9. Health

Mrs. Jayashri Gholap to plan an ideal healthy lifestyle with regards to their physical exercise.

10.Media

Ms. Supriya to look into as Media is not very active with SCON.

11.Sports

Mr. Shivaprasad to encourage students to participate in sport activities. Students must be engaged in regular sport practice and bring laurels to the Institute.

12.Cleanliness

All staff to ensure nothing to be kept in the college that comes from the Cafeteria and must be returned back once the activity is over.

13.Others
a.

The Presiding officer appreciated Mrs. Meenakshi who inspite of her busy schedule & family commitments voluntarily decided to go to Mumbai in regards to Moma Scholarships and got the job done. The presiding officer also appreciated Mrs. Sheela U, Mrs. Hema Adhav for being quick enough to arrange and complete the formalities required for the launch of M.Sc (N) Program in terms of money. The Presiding officer appreciated Mr. Benson T. Mathai for working industriously for the College. He stayed in Mumbai for about 10 days (13th -22nd Aug11) and for about 8 days (5th -12th Sept11) in regards to Admissions, DHS and MNC.
