Tourism one of biggest industry in today world. In past man travel here to there for food . But slowly development in technology man find everything around . But still man travel . Nowsdays man travel for Entertainment , leisure , shopping , religious and so on . In my mind mostly travel for religious purpose .we call this type journey Pilgrimages. This journey also liked by ancient people

Introduction

People of Eourpe started pilgrimages between 1095to1291 . They traveled all around eourpe . The popular sites in eourpe for Pilgrimages Santigo de compostela in Spain. The famous church of Paris the seat of roman catholic church in Rome and the other holy land like Athens in Greek ( J.d. fridgen) In Arab they started pilgrimages in 700 BC . They travel to Macca for religious Practice . In other side people from ancient India were started pilgrimages to search the god they traveled in Jungle , one mountain to mountain another India is known as sub continent and is also has rich Heritages. India is 14th best country for its rich Heritages. In India religious tourism has big figure. India has many ancient temple and Fastival. The religion in India also attracts people from non-Indian origin. India is heavy spiritual area in World . (gaurav kumar and shantanu dubey). India attracts less than 0.4 percent of world tourists arrival and earns 0.7 percent (singh and singh, 1996)

They also visit sarnath where budha gave his first semon and kashinagar where he attained salvation There are some more place where buddist people visit most nalanda, where budha taught and vaishali where he did his last sarmon and this place also considered as key hubs of the Buddhist pilgrim circuit.
