About Us:
Furneaux Elementary is a Kindergarten through Fifth Grade campus built in 1981 on land originally owned by the Furneaux family from Devonshire, England. Our school provides programs and services to meet the diverse needs of general education, ESL, Gifted and Talented and Special Education students at each grade level. Learning styles and differences are accommodated using sound educational and brain-based research. Administrators and staff are committed to collaborative problem solving and decision making that mirrors our school motto, Children First. Our common vision to explore and achieve recognized standards of quality and excellence is a testimony and reflection of our staff's professional commitment to direct their own autonomous learning through the continued pursuit of current effective educational research.

Service and Character Initiatives:

Our students and staff, led by the Student Leadership Team, have annual food drives to support the Metrocrest Service Center, and sock/underwear drives to supply the PTA Clothes Closet. Another community service is to raise funds supporting Special Olympics and Kacy's Run. All students participate in weekly "R" Time activities which focus on character building and peer communication skills.
