When problems come up, tears are cried. Sorrow and pity can invoke negative thoughts. It can tear you down and destroy you inside. There are so many things that can take away from your joy. Dont walk with your head hung low thinking youre alone. Because at your darkest hour, Jesus shows his Love and Power. It doesnt matter how bad things seem to be. Jesus always comes through in your time of need. From the beginning to the end, never does he leave your side. When you think youre at a total loss, Remember Jesus is always there right by your side. Keep the faith and pray.

Setting the Captives Free

(Part I)
By Pastor Kikelomo Togun

Setting the captives free means deliverance. Deliverance is not a very popular subject today. Many Christians are still very ignorant about deliverance and spiritual warfare. I have written a book on spiritual warfare; it will open your eyes to the spiritual warfare going on in your life and around you. Many things that we think are just coincidental or accidental are not. The Bible states, My people perish for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). This world is controlled by two forces the forces of darkness and evil headed by Satan, and the forces of light and good headed by God. God created Satan as an angel but he rebelled against God and took a third of the angels with him. These rebellious angels are now called demons. These demonic spirits are now controlling many lives. True Christians cannot be possessed but they can be oppressed. There is no way the Holy Spirit is going to dwell in a body with a demonic spirit. Unconfessed sins open the door for demons to enter. So, deliverance means to set free from the bondage of Satan, free from the kingdom of darkness and that means breaking any evil covenants, casting out demons in the name of Jesus Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Luke 4:18 states, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, he hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the

captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. The emphasis is to preach deliverance to the captives and to set at liberty them that are bruised. Many are bruised! Many are oppressed and many are possessed. Possession is when the demons are inside of you quietly controlling you, your thoughts and your actions. You often have evil thoughts, thoughts of killing yourself or somebody. But oppression is when the demons are working outside of your body but putting serious pressure and burdens on you, one problem after another, and one accident after another. This is what the devil did to Job. He could not possess Job because he was a true child of God. He could only oppress him with one evil after the other. Christians who claim to be possessed must have opened the door to the demons through secret sins or ignorantly. Jesus Christ is the Deliverer. The Bible says that you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. Only the truth shall set you free. Get the word of God inside of you and you will be set free. John 8:32 states, And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.

Mission to the Philippines

By Dr. Philip Ademola Togun
2. Medical Mission to Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao, Philippines from September 8 September 12.

The mission to the Philippines was a twopronged affair:

1. Attending the HCFI World conference Diamond anniversary from September 4 September 7 in Manila Philippines.

We were invited as guests of the Healthcare Christian Fellowship International, in Commemoration of the diamond (75th) anniversary of the organization. We were unable to stay for the duration of the conference. We stayed for four days. HCFI witnesses to the people who pass through healthcare facilities across the World. We were reminded that a lot more people pass through healthcare facilities than churches. And for a lot of such people, it is their last stop en route to eternity, making this ministry a very urgent one. There were delegates from eighty-seven countries. The general sessions preceded the small (focus) groups, which covered specific topics (Biblical counseling, leadership, witnessing to children, etc). They were quite educative and individual delegates chose the focus group that appealed to them. Meeting so many Christians from diverse backgrounds was an enriching experience.

Bishop Serge Simo and Mrs. Bebe Simo of North Lake Victory Church hosted us. The medical outreach on Saturday, September 10 was the largest we have ever had in any country about 700 people. We would like to thank the civilian volunteers as well as the Philippine military for providing the manpower for the outreach. Over the short period of the visit, we had opportunities to minister to the Philippine military (4th Calvary Troop LAD PA), three police units (the Criminal Investigation Department, the Highway Patrol, as well as the Police Academy). Of course we also ministered at North Lake Victory Church Bishop Simos church. We had a youth rally at the church on September 8 as well as preaching at the Sunday service on September 11. It is gratifying to see a lot of people come to Christ at the various venues, which in the final analysis, is the number one reason for the mission trip. We would like to thank our Filipino brothers and sisters for their love and support Bishop and Mrs. Simo and the congregation of North Lake Victory Church, Bishop Arthur Colot, Bishop and Mrs. Rey Angana, Pastor J. Anadia, Pastor Daso, Pastor Czehob and other ministers.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
