Pupils compete in high jump, athletics, swimming, volleyball and chess. Supporters cheer their teams. Winners are given trophies, certificates and prizes. You dont have to be the best in any sport to take part in it. Try athletics, volleyball, netball, football, cricket, basketball, or swimming. You can also do mental games like: chess, scrabble, omweeso, playing cards, ludo and draft. Use sports to discuss how to prevent HIV.

Stay safe
You may be the best goal keeper, fastest runner, great swimmer, top scorer and feel on top of the world. That is a good feeling. But dont abuse your stardom. Stay safe.
Concentrate on your studies. Education will be useful even after stardom is no more.

Avoid Avoid drugs and alcohol to stay healthy. Choose good role models to guide you. Do not tease your classmates. Respect yourself, your parents, teachers and fellow pupils. Choose your friends carefully. Say no to early sex. Do not force girls/boys into sex.

Dr James Sekajugo, from the ministry of Health says:Most sports injuries can be avoided by making body exercises, playing safe and wearing the right sports protections. If you are hurt, stop playing. Continuing to play, can harm you more. When you have wounds, dont play until they have healed. The wounds can be covered with a water proof dressing. Use gloves when treating the wounds to avoid other infections.

Whether you are living with HIV or not, when you use alcohol, it weakens your body. If you are on Anti Retrivirals (ARVs) and drink alcohol, the medicine will not work well. Alcohol damages the liver. When the liver is damaged, it will not do its work well. Alcohol reduces the cells which fight against HIV, leading to low body immunity. When this happens, the body cannot fight against infections. Also, alcohol over works the kidneys. When the liver and kidneys fail to work, you may die. Alcohol makes you not to think well. This may lead you to have sex with different sexual partners. This puts you at risk of getting sexually transmitted diseases. If you are already on ARVs, you may forget to take your the medicine in time, which may cause serious problems. Alcohol does not weaken the HIV virus. The virus is always awake and active in the body of a person living with HIV in the body fluids like blood, vaginal fluids, semen and breastmilk. Vaginal discharge
A vaginal discharge may be normal or abnormal.

Normal discharge:

Is clear or whitish in colour. Has a mild smell. It is sticky. It may flow out on some days and fail on other days.

Abnormal discharge:

Your vagina has micro-organisms like bacteria and yeast that naturally live there. They protect you from infection. When you notice; extra discharge, yellowish, greenish, grayish, a bad smell, a rash or vaginal burning during urination. Talk to a health worker for treatment immediately.

They might find someone to help you pay your fees. Do not give up, try until you get helped. If a girl is raped and immediately washes her vagina, can she get HIV? Gonorrhea is one of the diseases got through sex. It is caused by bacteria. Do you know anyone with Gonorrhea? Ask them to go to the nearest health center or hospital for treatment. In a boy, the symptoms start two days after sex. Boys feel a burning pain while urinating, and pus may come out. There may be pain in the testes, and one may feel high temperatures. It can infect the urethra, rectum and the throat. It is possible to have gorrnohea without symptoms. Boys are more likely to show symptoms than girls. In a girl, gorrnohea makes the fallopian tubes to swell and she feels pain in the cervix, stomach and backache. If not treated in time, it can cause infertility in both boys and girls.
