About This Guide
Purpose of This Guide

This user guide contains useful information that will help you successfully use the MATWorX/Office Data Programming Tool program. Included are highlights about many key features of the program including the MATWorX Taskbar, PBX Access Module (PAM), Add-Ins, PBX Configuration Wizard, MACH Script Editor, and Online Help System. This guide is designed to be a supplement to the MATWorX online Help system. The Help system provides context-sensitive information and procedures that will help you perform tasks using MATWorX. Refer to Chapter 8 MATWorX Online Help for how to access the online Help. Page 129
How This Guide is Organized

The MATWorX User Guide is divided into the following chapters: MATWorX Overview describes the MATWorX program, its features, buttons, Taskbar selection, Add-Ins, and application tools. How to Configure Communication Link describes how to configure a PBX using the Wizard feature or the PBX Setup dialog. PBX Access Module (PAM) describes the process of how MATWorX applications communicate with the PBX via the PAM. The PAM is a gateway for 32 bit Microsoft Windows applications to connect to the PBX. Add-Ins describes the concept of Add-Ins, including what they are and how they work, as well as how to add and remove them. Add-Ins are the basic tools of MATWorX.

MACH Script Editor describes the concept and operation of the MOC Accelerated Command Heap (MACH) window. This window is a separate and powerful tool that is integrated into the MATWorX software. It is similar to working with the Maintenance Operation Console (MOC), but provides much more functionality by enabling you to create a list of PBX commands (a script) which you can save and run at any time. Scheduler describes the concept and operation of Scheduler window. The Scheduler is an application to start a specific Add-In of MATWorX at specified time, date or day of the week automatically. This can be used for trouble analysis and maintenance operation of PBX. MATWorX Online Help describes the online Help system in detail as well as how to access it and print Help topics. Office Data Programming Tool describes the concept and operation of Office Data Programming Tool. The Office Data Programming Tool is a tool to be able to make, change and register office data when PBX is initially installed or office data is edited. Appendix A lists the Extended Command Set that you can use in conjunction with the MACH Script Editor window. The Extended Command Set characters are modifiers you type in front of a PBX command on the MACH Script Editor window. Using Extended Commands you can greatly reduce the number of commands needed to perform certain tasks. Appendix B describes the directory structure, files, and file locations of the MATWorX suite of applications installed on your computer.

Whats MATWorX?
MATWorX is a 32 bit Windows (English version)based software application that enables you to program and maintain an unlimited number of PBXs via your computer. MATWorX utilizes a client/server architecture that allows multiple dialogs (Add-Ins) to communicate with a PBX. You can connect to and program up to four PBXs at the same time. MATWorX provides a graphical user interface (GUI) to a PBX. This design lets you navigate quickly and intuitively throughout the program, thus saving you valuable time with your PBX maintenance tasks. MATWorX communicates with a PBX via the PBX Access Module (PAM). The PAM is an application of MATWorX which acts as a gateway for connection and communication between the MATWorX tools and a specific PBX. This chain of communication is necessary for the successful operation of all the MATWorX tools and related PBX applications. Refer to Chapter 4 PBX Access Module (PAM). Page 55

MATWorX Tools
There are three kinds of tools included in the MATWorX program: Add-Ins, MACH Script Editor, and PBX Configuration Wizard. These tools are accessible from the Taskbar. Add-Ins Add-Ins are the basic tools of MATWorX. Each one provides you with specialized capabilities to program PBX features and functions. MATWorX comes with more than a dozen Add-Ins that can be accessed from the Taskbar. Refer to Chapter 5 Add-Ins. Page 61 MACH Script Editor The MACH Script Editor is a powerful time-saving tool that enables you to create a list of PBX commands that perform tasks in the PBX. This list is referred to as a script, which can be saved and run at any time. You can also use the MACH Script Editor to perform many other operations. Refer to Chapter 6 MACH Script Editor. Page 123 PBX Configuration Wizard The PBX Configuration Wizard is a custom tool in MATWorX that enables you to establish the proper communication settings between your computer and the PBX. The Wizard asks you simple questions and then uses the information to automatically configure the connection for the PC and the PBX. Refer to Chapter 3 Using PBX Configuration Wizard on accessing and using the PBX Configuration Wizard. Page 33

Introduction to Working in Windows Operating System

If you are new to working in Windows or would like a refresher on Windows terminology, functions, and navigational procedures, take a minute to access the Microsoft Windows Tutorial Tour by following the steps below. 1. 2. 3. 4. Launch Microsoft Windows on your computer. Select Help from the Start menu. Select Tour: Ten Minutes to Using Windows under the Contents tab. Follow the instructions on your screen.
Navigating through MATWorX Taskbar

The MATWorX Taskbar ( Page 8) is the main window of the program. It contains buttons and pulldown menus listing selections available in the program. Each button or menu selection provides access to the tools and applications available in the program. To activate a selection, click on it. The Taskbar offers dynamic functionality to the program by allowing you to change it based on the Add-Ins you want to use. For example, by default each Add-In appears as a menu item and a button on the Taskbar. If you remove an Add-In from the Taskbar (via the Add-In Manager), it will no longer display as a menu item or button. If you choose to add it back, it will re-appear on the Taskbar. The Taskbar enables you to navigate through the program and perform various functions. It is also the launching point for MATWorX tools and applications. The default Taskbar items and corresponding buttons, where applicable, are described on the following pages.

MATWorX Taskbar
While MATWorX is connecting to PBX, activation status (A or N) of software key code is displayed as PBX software information in addition to its software version. For Remote PIM over IP system, Main site, Remote site (normal mode), Remote site (survival mode) are displayed as site information.

PBX Menu Connect - Select this menu item to access the Connection to PBX dialog where you can select a PBX from a list of available PBXs and connect to it. You can also click the Connect to PBX button to select a PBX from a list of available PBXs and connect to it. Disconnect - Select this menu item to access the Disconnect from PBX dialog where you can disconnect from the current PBX.

You can also click the Disconnect from PBX button to disconnect from the current PBX. Password - Select this menu item to access the PBX Password dialog where you can enter the password when the password service is set to the PBX. Refer to Chapter 3 Using PBX Password Dialog for further information. Page 44 PBX Setup - Select this menu item to access the PBX Setup dialog where you can edit the communication settings that have been set for a PBX or make the new communication settings without running the Configuration Wizard. You can connect your PC to the PBX on this dialog using the communication settings. Refer to Chapter 3 Using PBX Setup Dialog for further information. Page 38 System Menu The System Menu is a dynamic menu that contains system-related Add-Ins. For information about a particular System Add-In, access the online Help or Chapter 5 System Menu for that Add-In. Upgrade Menu The Upgrade Menu is a dynamic menu that contains system upgrade-related Add-Ins. For information about a particular Upgrade Add-Ins, access the online Help or Chapter 5 Upgrade Menu for that Add-In. Tool Menu The Tool Menu is a dynamic menu that contains function-related Add-Ins. For information about a particular Function Add-In, access the online Help or Chapter 5 Tool Menu for that Add-In. Page 116 You can also click the Palette for Tool button to display a floating palette of buttons that can launch feature-related Add-Ins. MOC - Select this menu item to access the MOC window where you can enter the MOC Commands. MACH Script Editor - Select this menu item to access the MACH Script Editor dialog where you can create and save a list (script) of PBX commands to perform tasks in the PBX. You can also use the MACH Script Editor to perform many other operations. Refer to Chapter 6 MACH Script Editor. Page 123 You can also click the Mach Script Editor button to access the MACH Script Editor dialog. Scheduler - Select this menu item to display Scheduler dialog where you can set the schedule in which you execute a specific Add-In of MATWorX or an application. Refer to Chapter 7 Scheduler. Page 125 Configuration Wizard - Select this menu item to access the Configuration Wizard dialog where you can establish the proper communication settings between your PC and the PBX. The Wizard asks you simple questions and then uses the information to automatically configure the connection for the PC and the PBX. You can also click the Configuration Wizard button to access the Configuration Wizard dialog. PBX Access Module - Select this menu item to display PBX Access Module dialog where you can save a transaction log that contains information between the PAM and the PBX. You can also click the Start up PAM button to access the PBX Access Module dialog. Refer to Chapter 4 PBX Access Module (PAM). Page 55 You can click the Office Data Backup button to backup the office data to Flash-ROM on the MP card. Refer to Chapter 3 Office Data Backup into Flash-ROM. Page 52 Option Menu The Option Menu is a dynamic menu that contains MATWorX-related settings. User Preference - Select this menu item to display User Preference dialog where you can set the following. General: This setting is whether a folder name is specified or not, when manual is referred to. Communications: LAN Connection setting is whether the connection status of LAN is supervised or not. And Timeout setting is time-out timer of PBX data reception. Display: Message setting is whether a message is displayed after connection with PBX or not. And Start Position setting is whether the starting position of the Add-In/ application is memorized.

Background: This setting chooses the background of MATWorX from 5 patterns. Menu: This setting is whether to use the menu lineup before Ver.10.
Add-in Manager - Select this menu item to access the Add-Ins Manager dialog where you can add and remove Add-Ins to/from the MATWorX Taskbar. Refer to Chapter 5 Installing an Add-In Page 118 and Removing an Add-In. Page 120 Available Add-ins - Select this menu item to display a sub-menu that lists all currently active Add-Ins. Also, you can choose to Show All or Close All active Add-Ins. Help Menu Help Contents - Select this menu item to access the main contents page of the MATWorX online Help system. The Help system provides you with easy access to information about procedures, tools, AddIns, commands, values, and shortcuts. Welcome to MATWorX - Select this menu item to display Welcome to MATWorX dialog. Click the Next of the work item that you do, and a more detailed menu item is displayed. Then Click the Add-in/ application that you want to use. Tips - Select this menu item to display an information tip about the usage of MATWorX and related tools and applications. Manual - Select this menu item to launch Adobe Acrobat Reader and automatically open User Guide, or Manual Menu. NOTE 1: Manual Menu dose not apply to the MATWorX program for North America and EU. NOTE 2: To open Manual Menu, it is necessary to arrange optional documents.

About MATWorX - Select this menu item to access the About box to view MATWorX version. Click this Manual Menu button to launch Adobe Acrobat Reader and automatically open Manual Menu. NOTE 1: Manual Menu dose not apply to the MATWorX program for North America and EU. NOTE 2: To open Manual Menu, it is necessary to arrange optional documents. NOTE 3: To open the manual for Help Menu and the document launched by clicking the Manual Menu button, it is necessary to use Adobe Acrobat Reader (Adobe Reader). After installing MATWorX, first select this menu item or click the Manual Menu button, then Adobe Acrobat Reader (Adobe Reader) is automatically installed, so follow the instructions on the screen.

Working with MATWorX Dialogs and Buttons

The dialogs within MATWorX enable you to perform various functions in order to program a PBX. Many dialogs contain buttons, fields, boxes, and other options that are described within this guide. You are able to move each MATWorX dialog by placing your cursor on the title bar and holding down your left mouse button, dragging the dialog to its new position, and releasing the mouse button. In addition, you are able to resize many of the MATWorX dialogs and Help windows by placing your cursor on the outside border of the dialog, and once you see double arrows, holding down your left mouse button and dragging the border to its new size. Refer to Chapter 2 Introduction to Working in Windows Operating System for further information about basic Windows concepts. Page 7 The following buttons appear on various dialogs within MATWorX. Listed below are the descriptions of typical buttons. Clicking the Exit Dialog button closes the dialog. Clicking the Whats This? button enables you to click on a field or button in a dialog to display Whats This Help for the item. Clicking the OK button saves changes and closes the dialog. On the Disconnect from PBX dialog, clicking this button disconnects MATWorX from the PBX without backup of the office data into the Flash-ROM.

Clicking the Lookup Data button replaces the listed data with the most current data contained in the PBX. Clicking the Cancel Data button stops the lookup process. Data replaced during the lookup process will remain changed. Clicking the Update Data button saves the changes on the dialog to the PBX. Clicking the Hide Dialog button hides the Add-In dialog from view, but leaves it loaded in your PCs memory, so it can appear quickly if you launch it again. All data are retained until you close the dialog. Clicking the Print Data button launches the Print Preview dialog where you can preview a report before printing. You can then click the Print Data button to print the displayed data to your default printer. Clicking the Export button on the Print Preview dialog enables you to save the displayed report to a file. If your email system supports MAPI, you can email the report directly from MATWorX by selecting MAPI from Destination box of the Export dialog. Clicking the Delete Data button clears the displayed data on the dialog. It does not clear the data from the PBX.

Clicking the Add button enables you to add an Add-In to the MATWorX Taskbar. Clicking the Remove button enables you to remove an Add-In from the MATWorX Taskbar. Clicking the Clear Grid button completely clears the displayed grid, but does not delete the information from the database. Clicking the Delete Grid button clears the grid and deletes the information from the database.
Clicking the Reset PBX button displays the Reset PBX dialog. A PBX reset is required before an update can take effect. Note that, if you reset the PBX, all existing call connections will end. Also, if you are connected to the PBX through a direct connection, your connection will be lost, but will be automatically reconnected. Clicking the Disconnect after backing up office data button disconnects MATWorX from the PBX after backup of the office data into the Flash-ROM. Printing a Report
The MACH Script Editor, and several Add-Ins enable you to print reports and listup data by clicking the Print Data button. The Print Preview dialog is automatically displayed so you can preview the report before printing.

Hardware Connections
There are three ways in connecting a PC to the PBX. (1) Direct Connection Connect PC serial port to the PBX serial port using a MAT cable. Data throughput can reach 19200 bps. (2) Modem Connection Connect PC modem to the PBX built-in modem via the public network. This connection can be used for remote access. The default setting of data throughput is 9600 bps, however, you can reach 19200 bps by setting of Command 40 Y=08>1:5. (3) LAN Connection Connect your PC to the PBX via the Ethernet LAN.

Using PBX Configuration Wizard

The PBX Configuration Wizard enables you to establish the proper communication settings between your computer and the PBX. The Wizard asks you simple questions and then uses the information to automatically configure the connection for the PC and PBX. If you have already established a connection between your computer and a PBX, you can still run the Wizard if you want to establish a connection to a different PBX. The following procedure explains how to launch the PBX Configuration Wizard. NOTE: The PBX Configuration Wizard automatically starts when you click Connect button if there are no configurations established for a PBX. 1. 2. Launch Microsoft Windows on your PC. Using PBX Password Dialog

The PBX Password dialog enables you to enter the password for accessing a PBX when the password service is provided to the PBX. When you connect the MATWorX to the PBX without entering the password, from the PBX/Connect menu or Connect button, you cannot assign, change and delete the PBX data. You can read only them. In that case, you can enter the password by the following procedure. 1. Select the PBX/Password menu on the MATWorX Taskbar.

If the password is accessible one, OK appears. (If not, NG appears.)

Troubleshooting a Failed Connection

The following lists provide possible reasons for a failed connection between your PC and a PBX, as well as actions required to correct the problem. Have you created a hardware communications link between your PC and the PBX? Yes - Go to the next bullet item. No - MATWorX will not operate properly until the hardware link is made. Linking your PC to the PBX is an important part of the PBX installation. Refer to Chapter 3 Hardware Connections. Page 24 Im not sure what the question means Your PC and the PBX need to be linked by communications hardware. When the PC is located next to the PBX, it is best to link them directly using a MAT cable. When the PC is located away from the PBX, they must be linked over a telephone line, using modems in the PC and PBX. Refer to Chapter 3 Hardware Connections. Page 24 Have you entered configuration information for your PBX? Yes - Go to the next bullet item. No - Running the PBX Setup Wizard. Connection to the PBX can be performed easily by using the Configuration Wizard. Correct information is needed for the connection. Answer the questions given by the Configuration Wizard.

Connection to the PBX can be performed easily by using the Configuration Wizard. Correct information is needed for the connection. Answer the questions given by the Configuration Wizard. Im not sure what the question means Running the PBX Setup Wizard again. Many failed connections that were originally setup using the PBX Setup Wizard can be repaired by running the Wizard again. (The Wizard detects changes that have occurred since the good connection was made.) What is unsuccessful connection type? Modem/TA Connection No Dial Tone Heard Reasons: Listen to the sound of the MODEM/TA while dialing and check that no dial tone is heard. - The power of the PC MODEM/TA is off. (External MODEM/TA) - The telephone line of the PC MODEM/ TA is not active or is not connected correctly. - The COM port in the PBX connection setting is wrong. - The PBX connection is set to direct connection. It should be set to MODEM/ TA connection. - The cable of the external MODEM/TA is not connected to the PC correctly. - There is a defect in the cable of the external MODEM/TA. - There is a defect in the telephone line. No Ringing Tone Heard Reason: Listen to the sound of the MODEM/TA after dialing and check that no ringing tone is heard. - The telephone number is wrong (or too short). There Is an Announcement or Recorded Message After the Ringing Tone Reasons: Listen to the sound of the MODEM/TA when dialing and check that the ringing tone is answerd. - Too many digits are entered as the telephone number. - The number of digits is wrong. - The access code is wrong. - The toll number is wrong.

Busy Tone Heard Reasons: Listen to the sound of the MODEM/TA while dialing and check that the busy tone is heard. - The telephone number is wrong. - A different user is accessing to the PBX MODEM/TA. After Ringing, the Call is Answered, But No Connection Message Heard. Reasons: Listen to the sound of the MODEM/TA while dialing and check that the PBX answers. Then wait for the connection message. - The maximum speed rate of the PC MODEM/TA is lower than that of the PBX MODEM/TA. - The initial character string is inappropriate. Connection Message Heard, But No Carrier Detection Message Reason: Listen to the sound of the MODEM/TA while dialing and check that an answer is received. Then wait for the connection heard before the carrier detection message.

Built-in modem communication error Reason: The communication error occurs when using the built-in modem of the MP card/board. Correction: Set the error correction procedure of the modem of your PC side to LAPM and the data compression to No by AT command. The MP built-in modem operation setting is as follows: Error correction procedure: Automatic selection 1st : LAPM 2nd : MNP4 3rd : Normal Data compression: No LAPM : Link Access Procedure for Modem MNP : Microcom Networking Procedure NOTE 1: When you set the error correction procedure and the data compression of the modem using AT command, refer to the manual attached to the modem because AT commands differ from the modems. NOTE 2: When you use the modem without the data compression function, the data compression setting is not required. Whats an Add-In?
Add-Ins are the basic tools of MATWorX. Each one acts like a separate application by providing you with specialized capabilities to program PBX features and functions. Using Add-Ins, you can program a PBX with information like station and trunk assignments, numbering plan data, and caller ID to name a few. MATWorX comes with several Add-Ins that can be accessed from the Taskbar. You can run multiple AddIns at the same time. Add-Ins can be added (installed) and removed from the MATWorX Taskbar. When an Add-In is removed, it is not deleted from the program, rather it is only removed from the Taskbar. It can be easily added back with just a few clicks of the mouse. This way you can customize the Taskbar with only the Add-Ins that you use on a regular basis.

VERIFY
: Verifies whether the saved office data in an FD or HDD and data in the PBX are the same or not.

VERIFY checks only whether there is any difference between the saved office data and data in the PBX. The differences are not extracted.

This is a function to indicate the stored fault information from the PBX. Using this Add-In, the lighted external alarm lamp can be turned OFF. (Only the lighted lamp under the software control) The fault information is stored with the database for each PBX, so the history of fault occurrence can be checked later. (This check can be done without connecting to the PBX.) The fault information is indicated from the new information to the old one. You can invert the order by clicking the title of Date. And if you click the title of Fault, Alarm, CPU, Description, the order will be sorted by the title items. NOTE 1: For Remote PIM over IP system, the proper fault information cannot be read out from the remote site in normal mode. NOTE 2: In case of deleting the fault database using the Grid Delete button, the database with the PBX Alias name on the screen is deleted.

This is a function to send/receive the data to/from the PBX on the MOC window. It is also possible to trace and display the trace data which is sent from the PBX at random and store the data into a file. Also, it is possible to change the sizes of MOC window screen and characters (font). NOTE: MOC add-in cannot display the character of Russian. Commands to be used: CM72 Y=4, CM74 Y=4, CM77 Y=5, CM9A Y=18 - MOC add-in is possible to input a character code and to set up office data. However, when a setting result is read from PBX, the character equivalent to the inputted character code is not displayed.

The following procedure explains how to install an existing Add-In to the MATWorX program so you can access it from the Taskbar. By default, all Add-Ins are installed and accessible from the Taskbar. Removing an Add-In
The following procedure explains how to remove an existing Add-In from the MATWorX Taskbar. By default, all Add-Ins are installed and accessible from the Taskbar. When an Add-In is removed, it is not deleted from the program, rather it is only removed from the Taskbar. It can be easily added back with just a few clicks of the mouse. This way you can customize the Taskbar with only the Add-Ins that you use on a regular basis. 1. 2. 3. Access the MATWorX Taskbar. From the Option menu, select Add-in Manager. Whats the Scheduler?

The scheduler is an application to start a specific AddIn of MATWorX at a specified time, date or day of the week automatically. This can be used for trouble analysis and maintenance operation of PBX. Using the scheduler, the following features are available: Enables to set a schedule to start the following Add-Ins and applications at a specified time: Save/Load/Verify LEN Listup Fault Display AP Program Download MACH Script Editor Enables to verify the executed condition later by recording the executed result in a log. NOTE: In the following cases, the schedule is not executed even when the specified time comes: When MATWorX is not started - When you start MATWorX and the Scheduler screen is displayed, the set schedule is executed. When Scheduler screen is not displayed - When you make the Scheduler screen displayed, the set schedule is executed.

When another Add-In is being used in the same PBX alias as the one where the schedule is set - When processing of the Add-In being executed is completed, the set schedule is executed. When a PBX alias different from the one where the schedule is set is being used - When the set time comes, the result of failure is displayed in the log. When unable to be connected PBX (for example, when LAN/MAT cable is disconnected or IP address/ communication speed is changed) - When the set time comes, the result of failure is displayed in the log. For example, by setting the time when the AP program is downloaded in advance, you can download a new AP program at midnight (that is, after business hours) even when there are no maintenance personnel. You also can verify the executed condition later by seeing the log where the execution result is recorded. Also, you can make it useful for trouble analysis by reading specific memory information periodically, when a trouble occurred in PBX. In addition, you can periodically check the system by setting the time to a period such as midnight when there is less traffic, saving all the office data periodically and checking the differential (verifying).

Online Help Features

Within the online Help system, you will find a wealth of useful information pertaining to the MATWorX program and its tools (Add-Ins, MACH Script Editor, and PBX Configuration Wizard). In addition, you will find separate Help systems for each of the MATWorX Applications (PAM). Some features include: Help for each dialog, including a description and purpose of the dialog and its buttons Context-sensitive Whats This? Help for every control (field and button) within a dialog Tool Tips when your cursor is positioned over active buttons
Accessing the Online Help System

There are several ways to access and use the online Help system within MATWorX. You can display and work in your current MATWorX dialog while a Help window is open. You can also resize and move the MATWorX dialog or the Help window to make it easier to display and follow the Help procedures while you work in MATWorX. MATWorX provides four types of Help. These include Main Help Contents, Dialog-level Help, Whats This? Help, and Tool Tips.

Main Help Contents To access the main Help contents, select Help Contents F1 from the Help menu on the MATWorX Taskbar. Dialog-level Help To display Help for the current MATWorX dialog, press F1. Whats This? Help Whats This? Help is a means to display pop-up information about a particular field or button within a dialog. To display Whats This? Help for a field or button, do one of the following: Click the Whats This? button on the title bar of the dialog, then click on a field or button to display a pop-up description of the field or button. Position your cursor over a field or button and click your right mouse button to display the Whats This? floating menu. Then click on the floating menu to display the popup description of the field or button. Tool Tips Tool Tips, sometimes referred to as Balloon Help, provides a brief (one or two word) description of an active button on a dialog or menu. To display Tool Tips for a button, place your cursor over the button for one or two seconds, then a small pop-up window displays with the buttons description.

Requirements for initial installation of PBX - Setting of office data is executed when PBX is Off-line (SENSE (SW3) switch on the MP card = 2). Tip:If setting the transmission speed with MATWorX to 19200 bps in advance, you can reduce the time required to register office data to PBX. - Before setting office data, perform clear all system data by Command 00>1. Tip:The initial value of office data is not registered to PBX (This is to reduce the time required to make office data and register it to PBX.). Requirements for changing office data under operation - Office data can be changed even by PBX under operation. - Setting of office data is available when PBX is On-line (SENSE (SW3) switch on the MP card = 0). However, when office data that needs initialization is registered to PBX, you should initialize it. Editing an Excel file by using Office Data Programming Tool

An Excel file made by Office Data Programming Tool can be stored or used as an office data programming sheet by any electronic file in Excel file format. When adding/changing office data after the initial installation is over and the system operation is started in the case of adding extensions and so on, you need to edit Excel files to match the office data in PBX with the stored Excel file. Editing Excel files by using Office Data Programming Tool is performed in the following two cases: Case 1: Reflecting the result in the stored Excel file after adding/changing the office data of PBX You add/change the office data of PBX by using CAT or MATWorX. Then, reflect the result of addition/change in the stored Excel file to match the office data of PBX with the office data of the Excel file. Case 2: Registering only the adding/changing office data to PBX After editing the stored Excel file by using this tool and making the office data, register only the adding/changing office data to PBX by using MATWorX. The procedures to operate Office Data Programming Tool in each case are describes as follows. Case 1: Reflecting the result in the stored Excel file after adding/changing the office data of PBX Register the office data to PBX (operation on the site). 1. 2. The Extended Command Set is a set of custom commands that can be used in the MACH Script Editor. These extended commands provide enhanced functionality to many of the existing PBX Commands. The purpose of the extended commands is to enable you to quickly and easily perform complicated tasks within a script by reducing the number of commands you need to use. The PBX Command Set is comprised of the commands used with a MAT Terminal, as specified in the Command Manual. (The commands look like: Command 12 Y=03.) The Extended Command Set characters are modifiers you type in front of the PBX command in the MACH Script Editor window. The following list represents the Extended Command Set. ^12 Copies the Class-1 Feature assignments from the station in the First Data field to the station in the Second Data field. Copies the Class-2 Feature assignments from the station in the First Data field to the station in the Second Data field. Copies the Programmable Key assignments from the station in the First Data field to the station in the Second Data field.
