Breakfast: Tea or coee in any quantity without sugar. Only one tablespoonful of milk is allowed in 24 hours.
Saccharin, Stevia or a comparable sugar substitute may be used.
Lunch: 1) 100-gram (4 oz) piece of lean protein.* (is is about the size of a deck of playing cards). Choices
include: beef, chicken breast, fresh white sh, lobster, crab, or shrimp (No eel, tuna, or salmon).
2) 2 cups of vegetables.* Choices include: spinach, asparagus, cabbage, green salad, tomato, celery, fennel,
onion, chicory, beet-greens, red radishes, broccoli, cauliower, cucumbers, or chard. (Only one type of
vegetable per meal is allowed, however tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, and lettuce may be served together.)
3) One Grissino breadstick or one slice of Melba toast.
Dinner: Eat from the same choices as lunch.
Snacks: Choose one fruit 2x per day to have whenever you want: apple, half grapefruit, or a handful (6-7)
of strawberries.
Hint: You may choose to eat one portion of fruit as your breakfast, and the other portion as a late-night
snack.

When you take the drops (whether before or after meals) is not
important. Make sure to take the drops two times a day. The exact
time is not crucial.

HOW YOU MOVE TO THE NEXT PHASE
If you reach your weight loss goal before 23 days:
Keep taking the drops and increase your daily caloric
intake to between 800 - 1,000 calories through day 23. is is
not about counting calories. It is about the type of foods and
the amounts you eat. Please follow carefully to be successful.
If you do not reach your weight loss goal before 24 days:
Continue taking the drops and stay on the very low calorie
diet (VLCD) through day 40 or until you reach your goal,
whichever comes rst.
If you have more weight to lose, you can begin another
protocol cycle aer Phase III. Do not skip Phase II or III,
this is crucial for your weight loss success.
In any case, DO NOT take the drops beyond 40 days, nor
stay on the very low calorie diet beyond 42 days.

HOW YOU SUCCEED WI TH PHASE I I
PHASE I I : NEW BODY WEI GHT MAI NTENANCE
**3 weeks**
is is the most critical part of your weight loss program. Over these next few weeks, your
body will adjust to help you easily maintain your new weight.
-Eat the same type of foods as on your VLCD and gradually introduce additional
fruits, vegetables and proteins into your diet without sugar or starches. On Phase II you may
eat all types of vegetables, mix vegetables, and introduce dairy products. It is important to
double the amount of protein during this period. (No pastas, breads, pastries, candy, etc.)
-Consume 1,500 to 2,000 calories per day to help maintain your new set-point weight
making sure to stay within 2 pounds of that weight.
-If you gain more than 2 pounds at any point during this phase, have a steak day: is is
where you drink only water all day, and have only one large, lean steak for dinner with either
a tomato or an apple.
-Weigh daily.
PHASE I I I : FI NAL TRANSI TI ON
**3 weeks**
-Gradually introduce sugars and starches into your diet, but be careful not to form poor
eating habits. It is up to you to keep the weight o!
-Weigh daily.
-If you have obtained your weight and size goals, congratulations!
-If you have not met your goal, start a new weight loss cycle. It is up to you to decide how
many weight loss cycles you go through.
Once youve completed Phase III
you may begin the diet again for
additional weight loss.

If you reach a plateau (where you dont lose weight for two days in
a row) do not be discouraged. is is very common. Your body is
simply adjusting to a new, lower calorie diet and body weight. We
suggest doing one or all of the following:
- Drink more water. Water intake should be between 2/3 to one
gallon a day.
- We suggest an apple day. For one whole day eat only apples (up
to 6 apples). Be sure not to drink large amounts of water during
this day. Instead, drink only to quench an uncomfortable thirst.
- Take more drops to help break the plateau and kick your weight
loss back into gear.
- Measure yourself and weigh yourself. Oen during a plateau your
body is re-distributing weight and you are losing inches, even if
you are not necessarily losing pounds.

Cook ground meat until done. Remove from
frying pan into a collander and rinse under hot
water to remove all fat. Return to pan and add
the remaining ingredients. Simmer for 20-30

meals later. Add a fruit to complete your meal.
