The Company

The joint stock company UAB ANYKI VARIS is the only welding electrode producer in Lithuania. The production was launched in 1993. The company currently employs 72 people. We turn out as many as 200-250 tons of welding electrodes per month. The production started with welding electrodes of ANO-4 and UONI-13/55 types that were widely used in industry, construction and agriculture. In recent years we have assimilated production of welding electrodes of AV-31, AV-21, AV-22, AV-24, AV-61, AV-66 types conforming to European standards. The company cooperates with Lithuanian, Latvian, Polish, Russian, Finnish and other European companies as regards supplies and sales. UAB ANYKI VARIS is interested in establishing mutually beneficial contacts with every customer.

Raw Materials

The company successfully cooperates with raw material and component suppliers from Ukraine, Russia, England, Germany, Switzerland, France and other countries. Much attention is paid to incoming control and sampling of raw materials that are intended for production. It is our goal that our suppliers deliver only such materials that would fully conform to international standards.

Production

The process of welding electrode production used by the company comprises the following cycles: incoming control of raw materials, core wire inspection and cutting, milling and screening of ingredients, their batching, liquid glass melting, mixing and briquetting of the blend, pressing and drying of electrodes, packing and final quality control. The latest batching lines installed at our batching bay assure highest accuracy of the ingredient batching process. The Swiss OERLIKON electrode pressing lines operating in the electrode bay make it possible to achieve highest productivity and assure best quality of electrodes of all types and diameters.

Quality

Much attention is paid to product quality assurance at all stages of the production process. The three up-to-date in-house laboratories facilitate prompt and efficient quality control both of ingredients and of the end products. Ingredient batching, electrode pressing and drying processes are monitored by a computer-aided quality control system. Our engineering division constantly supervises and controls the accuracy and quality of the whole production process. The in-house quality control system is based on ISO-9001. The products of UAB ANYKI VARIS have been granted conformity certificates from TV, Germanischer Lloyd, DNV (Det Norske Veritas), Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, the Polish Welding Institute as well as quality certificates from the Latvian LZA certification center. The Engineering Supervision Body has found some of our products fit for welding and repairs of potentially hazardous installations.

Servicing

To our clients we offer a wide range of product packaging options together with a flexible system of payments and discounts. The experts of UAB ANYKI VARIS are at all times ready to provide full information related to electrode welding features, their application as well as on other related matters. Our welding electrodes have won a solid position on the market. The superior quality makes our products competitive on European and other markets. Prompt customer-oriented service has always been our priority, which gives us firm grounds to believe that our cooperation with you will be mutually beneficial.

Apply a heat input as low as possible and keep temperature low (maxi temperature 70C) in order to reduce the risk of producing cracks in the base metal (weld with minimal current and depose short and narrow beads). To limit internal stress of the base metal, hammering of the beads is recommended after each pass (essential on rigid pieces). Weld on clean and exempt from greax surfaces (previous grinding of the joint).

Particular properties:

Good welding-technological features. High resistance of alloyed metal against fracture forming. Alloyed metal is mechanically solidified. While welding to avoid huge mixing of metals. While welding using constant direct polarity current a greater welding is received (to use lower currents!), using opposite polarity current - lower mixing of metals, using alternating current intermediate version. While welding the thick, more solidified, hardly alloyed steels the pre-heating of main metal is recommended till 200-300C. In other cases pre-heating is not necessary. When flux gets moisture, electrodes are to be dried in 300C temperature for 1 hour.
