Programmable Keys
Programmable Keys (Pkeys) are a means of assigning a number of keystrokes,
such as host commands, to one keystroke. You can pre-program your commonly
used entries so that each one is placed on the screen at the touch of a Pkey,
saving both time and the need to remember the input.
To open Pkeys
Select Programmable Keys from the Companion menu

The Pkeys window shows the type of operation that can be programmed:

Command: These are Pkeys that send a string input to the host system
Hotkey: These are Pkeys that have been programmed to launch an application
Script: These are Pkeys that run a designated script.

Available Pkeys
The following function keys can be defined as Programmable Keys:

F2 to F12
Shift + F1 to Shift + F12
Ctrl + F1 to Ctrl + F5 and Ctrl + F7 to Ctrl + F12
BF1 to BF12

To create a set of Command Pkeys
Command Pkeys are used to assign host inputs with a function key. When
assigning a string input to a function key, you can also designate spaces where
dates and locations need to be added by the user of the function key.

O Highlight the function key to be programmed

O Type the host command to be executed in the Command field

O To add an automatic ENTER, open the list of predefined commands using
the Find button and select <Transmit>

Area to partition mapping

In Galileo you have the possibility to create simultaneously different booking files in
different windows if you create a set of programmable keys which will allow you to
switch from one window to another and change the work area at the same time.

For this function we suggest you to use the keys SF1 to SF4 (shift F1 to shift F4)

Once programmed, if you type <shift F1> the window 1 will become active and you
will automatically switch to area A.
If you type <shift F2> the window 2 will become active and you will automatically
switch to area B.
If you type <shift F3> the window 3 will become active and you will automatically
switch to area C.
If you type <shift F4> the window 4 will become active and you will automatically
switch to area D.

Note:

If you change the window by clicking on it, the area wont be changed.
Remember to use Pkeys when switching from one window to another one.
