Allah has brought all of us from the bellies of our mothers. Alhamdoulillahi Rabbil Alamine.

We thank Allah for his mercy, and the Prophet Muhammad SAW for distributing that Mercy to everybody. We have Here, a very particular Woman. Sayyida Oumy Mbengue, also known as Shaykha Oumy or just Ya oumy for the closest ones. The Arabic term for mother is Oumm. Ya Oumy means Oh My Mother! It is a very powerful statement. Not everybody will call a women Ya Oumy! this is not a nickname for her. It is actually for real name. A name given to her by Allah. There are multiple ways of being a good mother, There is so much out there about what a good mother is or is not."Mothers are traditionally thought of as nurturers and are expected to stay home to care for their young children". Well, this is exactly why she deserves to be called Oumy Because she is a nurturer inwardly and outwardly, by giving out her wealth, her knowledge, by spreading her devotion to Allah, her Love of Allah, her love of the Prophet Muhammad Saw, her Love of Shaykh al Islam el Hadj Ibrahim Niyas RA, her Love of Shaykh Al Akbar, Mamour Insa Diop, her love of her fellow Muslims, her love of the Human Race, and her love for all creatures. She is a brave woman, a very hard working woman ,fluent in Wolof, French, English, and understand Spanish and creole. She resides in Kaolack and Dakar ,Senegal, Guinee Bissau, Germany, and then she relocated to New York, USA FOUR years ago where she served as a peer supervisor for the prevention division of harlem united, and outreached with the African community to improve their knowledge on HIV/AIDS-to review their behavior- to improve their health. But she gained a lot of experience by being a sound and light technician at Centre Franco-senegalaise of Dakar where also she was the President of Jamiatu Muhtacimina Bihablillah( Community of Those who hold fast in the Rope of Allah/ Deen Of Allah which is Islam). We will not go on without mentioning that she was the permanent secretary of theMinistre Charge des relations avec les assemblees in Dakar. The Prophet said SAW, the best among you is he who takes care of the affairs of Dunyah but is never distracted by it. Allah said 94.7-8 . Fa-itha faraghta fainsab Wa-ila rabbika fairghab. So when you are relieved in the affairs of Dunyah, strive to please your Lord Throughout her life, her Love of God. She has never been distracted by Dunyah, she has always been For Allah, by Allah and with Allah. Poverty/Wealth is the same for her. And that is justified by her saying, Let Allah to what-so-ever he wants to do and do not question. She became famous to some by the Jalaaliyat which emanates from her and to others by the noble letters she sent to the Disciples Of Shaykh Al Akbar, inviting them to a better worship of

Allah, a deeper love of The Prophet, and hard work to show our love and appreciation for the Shaykh. Because Shaykh Mamour Insa Left Everything to teach the Knowledge of Allah. He hardly sleeps, hardly eats, hardly has time for himself, all of that, he sacrificed to teach us Marifa, Sharia, tariqa and Haqiqa. In that sense, Ya Oumy tells us to show some appreciation, to be grateful. Not only she says that, but she shows it to us through her actions. Not everyone is you know is familiar with the Masjid, makes their five daily prayers in a constant basis, makes dhikr of Allah, reads the Quran until caught by sleep, gives Charity in a regular basis, fasts til it becomes a habit, Loves for the brothers and sisters whatever he/she loves for herself, Not every Muslim attain scuh type of devotion. She even prays for Muslims more than she prays for herself to an extent that she hardly prays for herself. And I have witnessed that. She knows matters about Islam that everyone knows, which even a child raised among Muslims would know, technically termed malum min al-din bi d-darura or necessarily known as being of the religion And she also knows matters that not everyone knows, and she can give an enlightenment regarding and matters that are disagreed upon even by those who know, the ulema or scholars. Allah said Ask those who know well, if you know not (Quran 16:43). Her capacity is beyond the capacity of a common woman/common man, Allah said We do not charge any soul except in its capacity (6:152). Her Iman of Allah is beyond what the mind can imagine. She is one of the person whom, if you spend one second with, it can change your life. Some says that Life is a gamble, whose stakes are paradise or hell. But we have heard the story of Rabia Al Adawiyya, who was the spiritual Mother of Hasan Barsi and many other famous Sufis who wanted to set fire to Heaven and put out the flames of Hell, so that Voyager to Allah can rip all the veils and SEE the real goal. Well! She inherited Rabias spirituality We came accross the Story of Rabia bint Ismail, Maryam Al Basra, Rabias servant, who died in hal/ecstasy, the story of Bahriyya al Mausuliyya, who wept herself blind for the Love of Allah which enabled her to see Allah with her heart. Ou Mother Oumy did not need that to See Allah with her heart. On the other hand, The story of Fatima bin al Muthanna and how she was a consolation for the inhabitants of the earth, A Lady whom Al Fatiha, the first chapter of the Quran fulfill all her desires, described as being Ibn Arabis spiritual mother. We have a woman here, whom Allah, Himself fulfill all her desire The story of Zaynab al Qaiyya, renowned for her beauty and wealth, and left everything for the sake of Allah. What is more beautiful than the face of the Believer? We also have Fatima Al Nishapur, who used to Discuss mystical Subjects with Abu Yazid al Bistami. Examining in detail the stories of Women Saint, we also see the story of Sayyida

Amina, a Majzub, who broke the stereotypes around Women Saints, saying that they are Holy men in women bodies on her side, Aisha al Manubiyya, who spoke to her mother when she was still inside her mothers belly, the female axial saint. Seydina Khidr appeared to her when she was twelve, telling her that he has been waiting for her for three thousand years. Sayyida Aisha is said to have passed the Station of Imam Junayd by five hundred degrees. And she also passed the Station of Rabia AlAdawiyya. We have heard about Fatima bin Al Kattani, the Lover of Allah, The story of Shawana, who is famous for her constant weeping for Allah. The Same Shawana, whom Ghazali tells us that she appeared to one of her friends in a dream after she has passed away telling her: Let your heart be very sad and let the love of Allah override your desires, then nothing will harm you to your dying day We can go on and on, just to tell you that pious women like these attain high rank. But here we have a woman who is very similar to the ones mention above. A Woman who left everything for the sake of Allah. A woman who is helped by Allah, purified by Allah, nourished by Allah, a very spiritually charged woman, one who can spiritually charge you just by one Salam We have been taught by our Shaykh Mamour Insa, that Allah is the Merciful One, he is Ar Rahman, but the name of the womb in Arabic is ar rahima/ar rahm. This tells you how most of the mercy of Allah is inside the womb. Who is associated with the womb? Not Men but Women. Islam is the only deen which gave woman all their disposition. Just to clarify to you that, the same way the mother nurtures his baby, Oour Mother Oumy Mbengue nurtures us spirirually by the Barakat of Baye Shaykh Mamour Insa. She gives us Milk, the Knowledge of Allah, and helps us Young Muslims to become future Leaders. AND we all know how hard it is for women to attain such high Ranks. It takes a lot of devotion. Hawaa (Eve) was created from Adams rib, the most crooked portion of the rib. Th eone which if you try to straighten it, it will break, and if you leave it, it will stay crooked. This is a good mithal describing the women. So the only option you have is to take care of them. Lets take care of our Physical and Spiritual Mothers!
