Trace the childs hand with palms down on a paper with thumbs and index fingers touching and forming a heart shape. You may also use a template to trace the hands. 2. Have the child write works of mercy that they are able to perform on each finger. 3. Color the hands to represent blood and water (may be red or blue) that are symbols of the Divine Mercy Image. 4. Have a child write a message to Jesus and their name inside the heart. 5. Instruct them to hang their work in their room as a reminder for them.

For Junior Kids: Explain to the kids about the Mercy of Jesus and the importance of having a merciful heart. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy, Jesus said. Merciful people are always compassionate, ready to help someone in trouble. They will feed the hungry, rescue disaster victims, shelter the homeless and defend those who are treated unfairly. Being merciful also means being ready to forgive others when they do wrong. Jesus told the people that God would show each of us the same forgiveness and mercy we show to others. Look for an opportunity to show mercy to someone and let them know that it is Gods mercy to you that helps you to show mercy to others. Activity: Mercy Card Materials needed: cartolina, coloring materials, pictures of merciful acts, art paper, pencils and pens. Instructions: 1. Their assignment is to give the cards to their friends, classmates and family members.
