Abstract. The paper deals with the mean monthly and annual sums of global radiation
incident on the plane of stabil flat solar collectors by optimal tilt-angle estimated on the
average for each month at 80 stations on the territory of Slovakia for the period 1951-1980.
For the lowland stations optimal tilt-angles with the same value were calculated, i. e. 75 0 in
January and December, 600 in February, October and November, 450 in March, 300 in April,
150 from May till August, and 300 or 450 in September. The mean annual sums of global
radiation are about 6% higher by optimal tilt-angle estimated for each month than by one
optimal tilt-angle for the whole year.

Abstract. The work contains the basic statistic characteristics of net radiation (total
radiation balance) on the territory of Slovakia. Monthly sums of global radiation were
estimated by S. I. Savinov´s and A. Angström´s method and longwave radiation balance by
more precise method of N. A. Yefimova. The mean values of sunshine duration, cloudiness,
air temperature and humidy, precipitation, and number of days with snow cover for the period
1951-1980 were used as a basic material. Table 1 brings comparison of measured and
calculated mean monthly sums of net radiation at station Hradec Králové for the period 1966-
1975. Table 2 contains the comparison of mean monthly and annual sums at some stations of
Slovakia for the periods 1931-1960 and 1951-1980, Table 3 gives the basic statistic
characteristics of this basic component of energy balance equation of the earth´s surface at 8
selected stations on the territory of Slovakia for the period 1951-1980. Space distribution of
the annual sums of net radiation for 10%, 50% and 90% of climatic security show Figures 1,2
and 3.

Abstract. The paper brings model calculation of the mean monthly and annual
temperature of grass cover active surface at 54 meteorological stations on the territory of
Slovakia for the period 1951-1980. The temperature of active surface was estimated from
energy balance equation on the basis of measured data on air temperature, water vapour
pressure, monthly totals of precipitation and number of days with snow cover.
