A man of Vision and Action

Sri Vallurupalli Venkata Rama Seshadri Rao

It is rare that a simple man born in a ryot’s family, grown with a little
education becoming a successful rice-miller and finally metamorphasized
into a doyen of technical education at the door step of rural India. Such an
ideal personality is Sri Vallurupalli Venkata rama Seshadri Rao, the founder
secretary of A.A.N.M & V.V.R.S.R. Educational Society established in 1981
at Gudlavalleru between Gudivada and Machilipatnam in Krishna District of
A.P. Sri V.V.R.S.R was born in 1932 to Sri Nagaiah and Smt Mahalakshmi.
He had his school education at S.E.R.M High School, Gudlavalleru. In his
pursuit of life, Sri VVRSR had been treading the line of business and
established himself as a successful rice-miller. At the age of fifty, he was
impressed upon to change his line of action into the service of technical
education. Along with Sri. Adsumilli Aswardha Narayana Murthy, a senior
prominent personality of Gudlavalleru, Sri VVRSR established “ Sri
Adsumilli Aswardha Narayana Murthy and Vallurupalli Venkata Rama
Seshadri Rao Educational Society”. In 1981, Under the sponsorship of the
society, “A.A.N.M. & V.V.R.S.R Polytechnic” was established with
Adsumilli Aswardha Narayana Murthy as the founder President and Sri
VVRSR as the founder Secretary.

Due to Sri VVRSR’s relentless efforts, the polytechnic, which was started
with three branches and 180 students, has now grown into a mega institute
of seven branches and around 2300 students, the highest no. of students in a
polytechnic of A.P. The polytechnic has become a very renowned choice of
students when seeking admissions through CEEP.

Sri VVRSR started “A.A.N.M. & V.V.R.S.R. High School” in 1988 with
English medium classes and the school is serving about 12 villages around
Gudlavalleru.

Sri VVRSR established “Gudlavalleru Engineering College” in 1998 with

four branches and 180 students. The GEC is successfully running now with
five B.Tech courses three M.Tech courses, an M.B.A and an M.C.A courses
with more than two thousand students.

Sri VVRSR has had educational enthusiasm, economic wisdom, and a clear
plan of action to achieve the set priorities without compromise. He has a
distinctive personality with simplicity, righteousness, soft communication,
straightforwardness, un compromising attitude, individual discipline,
efficient administration with values, commitment to human relations and
human values. With such a noble stature, Sri VVRSR has inspired many
persons, teachers, and students for the last 27 years.

Alas! Sri VVRSR has breathed his last at 4:05 A.M on 13-08-2008.
