OBJECTIVE

The objective of our proposed project is to maintain the complete database of a attendance within an interactive way. Our project is Application software. We generally see that its a very difficult task to handle all the tasks related to data. By using this software, the involved man power will reduce in a great ratio. In our system, only faculties of institution will be able to handle all the aspects related to the attendance. System will keep records of all the students attendance and will be updated date to date. Our main motto about this project is to provide a good Graphical User Interface so that handling of project would seem easy and interactive. All the faculties will have separate login and password and they can access only to their class and their subjects In Guest login mode, guest will be able to view the records only.

EXISTING SYSTEM
There exist many other systems which handle or try to handle the same task. No doubt, some of them are very efficient in different ways. But there is a lack of a system that is efficient in all ways as well as user friendly at a sufficient level. Some of them provide efficient management of data but do not provide good graphical user interface. Others are good at it but they lack in efficient means of storage the data and accessing it when required.

PROPOSED SYSTEM
Our proposed system i.e. ATTENDANCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM will provide efficient data storage and represent the system in a graphical way. Our system will have two login modes. 1. FACULTIES Faculties will have total control over the system in following means(a).Viewing records of all students. (b).Maintaining the everyday attendance. (d).Calculating the total attendance percentage. (e).Deciding wheather students is detained or not.

2. STUDENTS Students will have access to the view records option only.

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
Operating System- Windows 98 or Windows NT Front End- JAVA (jdk_1.5.0) Back End- SQL server 2005

HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
Processor Pentium 4 or later RAM 128 MB Hard Disk 40 GB Color Monitor

LIMITATIONS

1. This project is not compatible with internet connection i.e. the Administrator cannot Operate the system online. 2. No new user account can be made. 3. Respective teacher can only modify the attendance
