Wasteistheuseofresourcesoverandabovewhatisactuallyrequiredtoproducetheproductas definedbythecustomer.Ifthecustomerdoesnotneeditorwillnotpayforitthenitiswaste,this includesmaterial,machinesandlabour.TheJapanesewordforwasteismudaandisoftenusedin books,trainingcoursesandbyleanconsultantstomeanwaste.
