Analysis of JMET 2004

Similar to the previous years pattern, this year, JMET was a four sectional
test paper. As it was expected, higher mathematics has dominated the QA
section. There were around 20 questions from this area. English section and
reasoning were on the easier side where as DI was average.

Negative marking: ¼.

The paper was a four- section paper with the sections as

1. Verbal communication.

2. Reasoning.

3. Quantitative ability.

4. Data Interpretation.

In this section, one can easily attempt 20+ questions and obtain a score of at
least 14+

Overall Cutoff:

Candidates who obtain an overall score of 72 + can apply to all IITs keeping
an eye on the eligibility requirements of each and those with a score of 60 +
can apply to at least one.
