CORRECTION TO END OF LIFE NOTICE FOR SYBASE IQ 12.7

End of life announcement date 05/12/11, and end of engineering support effective 03/31/12.

Dear Valued Sybase Customer: This notice is issued to clarify the migration path specified for the Sybase IQ 12.7 Software Developers' Kit in the End of Life Notice for Sybase IQ Version 12.7 issued on April 23, 2010. Sybase encourages you to begin migration plans as soon as possible to upgrade your software before the end of engineering support to the supported version identified in the "Migration Path" column as shown in the table above. For customers having a current Support Agreement who have elected not to migrate to a supported release by the end of engineering support, continued limited technical support assistance will be made available, subject to the availability of resources. This limited assistance after the end of engineering support consists of providing existing interim releases (i.e., updates, if any, developed for the product prior to the end of engineering support), telephone and electronic assistance, and migration advice to customers upgrading to Sybase supported products. It does not include engineering support, new bug fixes or integration of any bug fixes into previous updates. Sybase would also like notify customers that we will not be releasing Sybase IQ (any edition) on HP PA-RISC 64-bit or Linux x86 32-bit beyond version 12.7. License migration will be offered from these platforms to HP Integrity 64-bit and Linux x86 64-bit, respectively, for later releases.
