Answer
Hello tania,

I can help you with some of them, but I'm not an auto mechanic or
refrigeration technician. Surely you were given the answers to
those?
1. Conduction: Heat is transmitted from one molecule to its
neighbors through collisions.
Convection: Liquid or gas actually moves from one place to another,
carrying its heat along.
Transduction: Not in my dictionary.
Radiation: Heat is transferred in much the same way that light is.

2. The heat of fusion of water is 335.5 kJ/kg.

3. maybe D?

4. I'm not an auto mechanic.

5. I'm not an auto mechanic

6. My dictionary says volatile means evaporating readily at normal

conditions.

7. Delta L = alpha*delta T
alpha for aluminum = 23*10^-6/degreeC

8. I'm not an auto mechanic

9. Tc = 5/9(Tf-32)

10. I'm not a mechanic of these either.

11. Tc = 5/9(Tf-32)

12. I'm not an auto mechanic

13. p1/T1 = p2/T2

where p1&p2 is the old&new pressure and T1&T2 is the old&new
temperature in kelvin degrees if volume is constant.

14. V1/T1 = V2/T2 if pressure is constant.

15. A temperature change of 1 degree Celsius is also a change of 1

degree kelvin. 0 degrees C is equivalent to 273 degrees kelvin.
16. Tc = 5/9(Tf-32)

17. alpha for silver = 18.9*10^-6/degreeC

18. A temperature change of 1 degree Celsius is also a change of 1

degree kelvin. 0 degrees C is equivalent to 273 degrees kelvin.

19. Sorry, I don't have the specific heat for coal.

20. I'm not an auto mechanic

21. I call that term specific heat but I guess heat capacity works too.

22. For gauge pressure, you need to subtract atmospheric pressure

from the absolute pressure. 101.3 kPa is atmospheric pressure.

23. A temperature change of 1 degree Celsius is also a change of 1

degree kelvin. 0 degrees C is equivalent to 273 degrees kelvin.

24. When ice forms on a lake, the water at the bottom is generally
at 4 degrees C.

25. p1*V1 = p2*V2 if the temperature stays constant.
