Alien Review

Alien Poster Art. Alien is one of the few films that will always be remembered but not always for the right reasons with amazing visuals and disappointing plot and characters. Among critics and fans, opinions are very much divided between wow and oh for this Ridly Scott film. K. Newman is one of the ones whom describes this film as, a movie masterpiece, (K.Newman) and by all rights it dues definitely have a wow factor about it. Film 4 agrees with, It remains a

benchmark of extra-terrestrial horror. (Film 4) Most would say for the story, a movie masterpiece(K.Newman) is a bit strong, a bit to optimistic, benchmark(film 4) is definitely a good mid ground.

Aliens face, Supporting still. The ressan for such a stir a divided opinions is very much the old battle of movies. A movie can look amazing, which alien dues, yet have a boring story, which again some would say is true, and then there are some whom say the visuals makes up for the content as V. Canby states, It's an old-fashioned scare movie about something that is not only implacably evil but prone to jumping out at you when (the movie hopes) you

least expect it. (V.Canby) and thats the benchmark(film4) for this film, the basics of scare. However V.Canby goes on to say, "Alien" is not the seminal science-fiction film one wants from him, it's executed with a good deal of no-nonsense verve. The members of the small cast are uniformly good though, with two exception, the roles might have been written by a computer, (V.Canby) and most viewers do not want to see plots the computer came up with as it will always be missing something. F. Rich believes, What is missing is wit, imagination and the vaguest hint of human feeling, (F. Rich) and thus the term computer is rightly used. This film will be remembered as a masterpiece of visual and bore of all plots. A deferent benchmark for the future. Bench
