with Psalm 126. Psalm 126

in our lives. We thank God

1The frst of four
main blessings in Birkat
HaMazon thanks God for
the food we have in our
lives.
We thank God for giving
food to everyone, yet we
know that there are hungry
people in the world. How
can we act as Gods partner
and help complete this
blessing and end hunger in
our community?

2In the second of the four
main blessings in the Birkat
HaMazon we thank God
for the land of Israel. We
are reminded that the brit-
-partnership that we have
with God includes spiritual
and physical protection that
the land of Israel represents.
Why do you think that
while we thank God for the
food we have eaten we also
say thank you for the land?
