Writing task:
The chart below gives information about global sales of games software, CDs DVD or video.
Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information.

The chart shows the changes of the sales of games software, CDs and DVD/video all over the world in

billion dollar($bn) between 2000 and 2003. It can be seen that the consumption of games software and

DVD/video increased steadily whereas the sales of CDs decreased slightly.

The sale of DVD or video rose approximately by 13$bn from 2000 to 2003. In 2000, just over 18$bn in

value of DVD/video was sold, but it went up to approximately 31$bn in 2003. Similarly, the sale of games

software also increased in this period, but less sharply. It went up by 6$bn from 2000 to 2003 (13$bn and

19$bn respectively).

In contrast, there was a slight decrease in sale of DVD/video during the same time period. In 2000, its worth

was just over 34$bn, but in 2003 it fell slowly to approximately 32$bn.
