I. Competence Standard : 7. Listening To understand the meaning of simple conversation in interactive and non interactive transactional and interpersonal in formal and informal situation to communicate with the surrounding environment or in academic context. II. Basic Competence 7.1 To understand the explicit meaning through simple spoken interpersonal and transactional about asking and giving information, asking, giving and refusing something, approving and disapproving information; Asking and giving opinion; giving, accepting, and refusing /invitation , agreement and disagreement ;giving the response of a statement and giving attention to the speaker; to start, hang on, take more time for, and close the speaking through telephone. 7.2 To understand the implicit meaning through simple spoken interpersonal and transactional about asking and giving information, asking, giving and refusing something, approving and disapproving information; Asking and giving opinion; giving, accepting, and refusing /invitation , agreement and disagreement ;giving the response of a statement and giving attention ( sympathy ) to the speaker; to start, hang on, take more time for, and close the speaking through telephone. Listening Comprehension : by answering 10 questions about the content of the dialogue ( Taken from Snapshot page 26). The scoring rubric : ( 100:10) x The total numbers of the correct ones). 2. Making draft of similar conversation to present the role-play ( for speaking 9 ) The scoring rubric The assessment criteria of Part B : 1. If the grammar and the content are perfect = 100 ( Excellent ). 2. Just 1 to 3 mistakes = 90 ( very good ). 3. more than 3 to 6 =80 ( good ). 4. more than six to 10 = 70( fair / so-so ). 5. more than half = 60( poor )

Note:
The item test for Listening daily Test as follows Asking the students to complete the missing words of texts with the appropriate ones. (Give the students the work sheet taken copy from The Bridge page 142 and 143) In The Classroom and At A Bookstore Discussing together the answers, and state the mark. The total missing words are 20, so each number will get 5 point. No mistakes will be 100.

Learning Steps I. Pre activities greeting roll call Reviewing lesson/ Checking homework. II. Main activities - Asking the students to read aloud the conversation text (as role-play) in turn while the teacher is observing the students pronunciation whether it is correct or not and the teacher will give proper examples if they make any mistakes. (Snapshot page 26 and 30). - Discussing the difficult words and grammar from the text, like: will be, might be, wont be (Speculating about the present), Im meeting my grandmother in ten minutes, were going to do some shopping, I was wondering . - Find the expressions of asking, giving, and refusing services, something, information, opinion, offering/ invitation, like: *X: What time will you be back this evening? Y: I dont know. I might *A: Have you got time for a coffee? B: Im afraid not. Im . *X: What are you doing on Friday? Y: I dont know yet. Why? X: Well theres a new club opening I was wondering would you like to go? Y: Id love to. Etc. Asking the students to answer the comprehension questions of the conversation. Asking the students to train the grammar by doing the exercises given on page 27 about the use of future with will/ wont, may/ might, going to or present continuous.

III. Post activities - Asking the students to practice the conversation with their friends. - Asking the students to make their own dialogue in group of 4 that contains the expressions just learned by making the drafts. ( Later for speaking 9 presentation )

Short pair discussion: in pairs, practice giving your opinion about something (on a certain topic). After one of you gives an opinion, the other may

agree or disagree. Remember that you should have arguments to support your ideas. In the simple discussion, talk about the following points.

A Presenting a problem (based on the chosen topic).

B Giving an opinion on the problem. (You may state the cause of effect or the solution of the problem).

A Agreeing or disagreeing with B.
