The City of Bridgeport has established an Energy Improvement District to promote the planning, development, and funding of energy-related

activities. The Board seeks to promote the BGreen 2020 plan to increase the efficiency of energy use in the City of Bridgeport, and attract commerce and industry.
The Energy Improvement District is a major priority of our BGreen 2020 initiative. It will help lower energy costs, support renewable energy development and attract new businesses opportunities for the City of Bridgeport, said Mayor Bill Finch. The creation of an Energy Improvement District is ambitious and challenging but thanks to the collaborative efforts of the team of experts and stakeholders weve assembled I am confident that this project will be a success and will have a positive impact on the Citys future.
