How do I know that the batteries need to be changed and how to change them?

Your CM67z has built-in electronics that constantly monitor the battery power level. The batteries provided with the unit should last for 2 years. When the batteries require replacement a flashing symbol ( ) will be displayed. To change the batteries: 1. Lift the front flap to reveal the battery compartment. Open the battery compartment by inserting a coin underneath the bottom right edge of the flap and lift it out. 2. Replace the batteries with 2 new AA LR6 alkaline batteries and push the battery compartment firmly back into the unit. The CM67z has a permanent memory to keep your program settings while you change your batteries; you should never need to reprogram. However if you take more than one minute to change the batteries, you may need to correct the time (see section How do I set the date and time?). NOTE: HR80UK radiator controllers in your system are also battery powered. The HR80UK user instruction contains detailed information on when and how to change batteries. RESPECT YOUR ENVIRONMENT Please take care to dispose of used batteries in an environmentally friendly manner. Symptom Blank display on CM67z or HR80UK.

CMZone Hydronic Zoning provides high levels of comfort and energy savings. The system allows comfort temperatures to be maintained in the part of the house that is occupied, whilst the rest of the house is maintained at a lower more economic temperature. A typical example is a house where the living zone (lounge, kitchen, etc) and bedrooms are controlled separately (see also Zone Planning Examples). System Components

The HR80UK radiator controllers automatically follow the programmed temperature commands of the CM67z. If you wish to adjust the programmed temperature in a room turn the HR80UK dial to set the required temperature (setting range: 530C). You can also open or close the radiator valve completely by turning the dial until the display will show ON or OFF. Possible Cause No batteries. Wrong battery orientation. Improper battery compartment insertion (CM67z only). Exhausted batteries. Remedy

Zone 1

CM67z - Roon Unit The CM67z Room Unit is your command centre which allows you to independently control a number of desired temperature settings in two different zones. You can also switch your heating system off from one central location. HR80UK - Radiator Controller The HR80UK radiator controllers (typically you will have several of them installed in your house) will respond to the temperature commands from the CM67z and will maintain the required temperature level in every room. Your installer should have allocated HR80UKs accordingly to individual zones (e.g. HR80s in lounge and kitchen allocated to zone1, HR80UKs in the bedrooms allocated to zone2). HC60NG - Relay Module The HC60NG Relay Module ensures that your boiler operates efficiently, delivering the heat only when it is required. What will the CM67z do for me? Radio Frequency (RF) communication enables fast and simple installation of the entire system (no need to replumb the heating system or disrupt room decor). Individual weekly programs for each zone with up to 6 temperature changes per day will enable you to maintain comfortable temperatures when and where you need them, whilst minimising your expenses on heating the parts of the house which are not in use. The Holiday button saves energy by letting you reduce the temperature for 1 to 99 days while you are on holiday, returning to normal operation on the day you return. Automatic summer/winter time changes adjust the time settings automatically so your heating system will always start at the right time.

Check that the batteries are in the battery compartment and that the paper tab (CM67z only) has been pulled out. Check that the batteries have been installed in the correct orientation. Remove battery compartment and re-insert. Replace the batteries. Replace the batteries. Remove and re-insert the battery compartment. If the spanner symbol ( ) does not clear itself in a few minutes call the installer. Check the power to the HC60NG is on or call the installer. Call electrical installer to check the boiler and HC60NG power supply as well as electrical connection between the boiler and HC60NG. Hook the room unit back on the wall bracket or return the room unit on the table stand to the position where communication was reliable. Call installer - NOTE: You can control boiler manually when RF communication is lost. Press the HC60NG push button to switch the boiler on or off. When the green LED is on - the boiler is on. Replace the HR80UK batteries following the guidelines in the HR80UK user instruction. Hook the room unit back on the wall bracket or return the room unit on the table stand to the position where communication was reliable. Call installer.

The temperature in each room is measured and controlled by the HR80UK radiator controllers. Therefore normally there is no need for the room unit to measure the room temperature. If you want to use the CM67z as a thermometer, please ask your installer to configure the room unit to show the room temperature.
