Dear Friends, We are SUPER excited to host Abby Stokes, author of "Is This Thing On? - A Computer Handbook for Late Bloomers, Technophobes and the Kicking and Screaming" at our Center on Monday, December 5th. Abby will demystify computers for us and will include in her lecture such topics as the internet, social networking, Facebook, Twitter and blogs. Liz, from the Carter Burden Center will be making embossed metallic greeting cards, perfect for Chanukah and many other occasions, on Monday, December 12th. Please register in the office to reserve your supplies. On Wednesday, December 14th, we will have a diabetes workshop after lunch. Our December Birthday Party will be held on Thursday, December 15th. Our Book Club continues as we now take on The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. Pick up your copy in the office and attend our Discussion Group on Monday, December 19th. Come back and watch the movie on Tuesday, December 20th. Join our Gracie Mansion Tour on Wednesday, December 21st, at 9:45 am. Space is limited so sign up in the office as soon as possible. Transportation will leave Moriah at 10 am and return to the Center in time for lunch. There is no charge for this trip but donations are welcome. Tickets go on sale December 5th for our fun-filled Chanukah Party, which will be held on Wednesday, December 28th. There will be traditional Chanukah fare, music (of course!) and gifts for all. Tickets are only $4.00 and are available in the office. Thursdays continue.

Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak. He who laughs last, thinks slowest. Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.
