There will be no penalty for answering a question incorrectly, just no credit. There will be no curving of grades.
Grading Guidelines:
Make-up Only under exceptional circumstances will a make-up exam be offered. Guidelines: Whether the reason for missing the scheduled exam is legitimate and is in accordance with USF guidelines will be the sole decision of Professor Hall. The make-up exam will not the same as the scheduled exam, and will include essay questions. Late Assignments/ Incorrect Method of Submission: Any required assignment not completed by the deadline will not be accepted and a grade of zero will be recorded for that assignment. Incorrect submission of an assignment may be accepted if the reason is due in large part to a failure of the recording system or circumstances outside the students control. Professor Hall will make this determination.
Incomplete Incomplete (I) Guidelines: Definition: An Incomplete grade (I) is exceptional and granted at the instructors discretion only when students are unable to complete course requirements due to illness or other circumstances beyond their control. This applies to all gradable courses, including pass/fail (S/U). Students may only be eligible for an I when: majority of the students work for a course has been completed before the end of the semester the work that has been completed must be qualitatively satisfactory
Schedule Change All changes to the schedule will be announced during the lecture and will be Guidelines: posted on Blackboard. Student Attendance at lectures is not required; however, it is strongly Expectations: recommended. It is quite likely that failure to attend on a regular basis will result in a final grade at least a full letter grade lower than otherwise, because the lecture content will focus upon topics likely to be found on the exams. Students are required to keep up with all reading assignments, which the exams will be based upon. All homework assignments must be completed as well. What to Expect The sole objective is to provide students with a practical understanding of of the Instructor: the human body and its systems. Classroom lectures will emphasize the interrelationship of different systems, their relevance to certain diseases, and those systems that typically are more difficult than others to understand. Class participation and discussion will also be encouraged. Time constraints may not permit the review in lecture of all aspects of anatomy and physiology that may be included in the exams. That is why the assigned readings must be completed if a student is to be successful. Permission to Once presented, the audio portion of the lecture will be in the public domain use Lecture(s): and available for any use that is in accordance with the guidelines of the USF and CON. I (the instructor) reserve the right to 1) request that assignments be submitted as electronic files and 2) submit students assignments to SafeAssign, or 3) request students to submit their assignments to SafeAssign through myUSF. Assignments are compared automatically with a database of journal articles, web articles, the internet and previously submitted papers. The instructor receives a report showing exactly how a students paper was plagiarized. For more information about Plagiarism and SafeAssign, visit:
