WEVE COME THIS FAR
BY FAITH
Refrain
Weve come this far by faith, leaning on the Lord;
Trusng in His holy word, Hes never failed me yet.
Oh cant turn around, weve come this far by faith.
Verse 1
Dont be discouraged when troubles in your life,
Hell bear your burdens and move all misery and
strife. Thats why weve come this far by faith,
leaning on the Lord; Trusng in His holy word, Hes
never failed me yet. Oh cant turn around, weve
come this far by faith.
Verse 2
Just the other day I heard someone say he didnt
believe in Gods word; But I can truly say that God
has made a way, and Hes never failed me yet.
Thats why weve come this far by faith, leaning on
the Lord; Trusng in His holy word, Hes never failed
me yet. Oh cant turn around, weve come this far
by faith.
7:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m.
JOHN 4:34-38 (NIV)
34
My food, said Jesus, is to do the will of him
who sent me and to nish his work.
35
Do you not
say, Four months more and then the harvest?
I tell you, open your eyes and look at the elds!
They are ripe for harvest.
36
Even now the reaper
draws his wages, even now he harvests the crop
for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper
may be glad together.
37
Thus the saying One sows
and another reaps is true.
38
I sent you to reap
what you have not worked for. Others have done
the hard work, and you have reaped the benets
of their labor.
6:00 p.m.
MATTHEW 25:31-46 (NRSV)
31
When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all
the angels with him, then he will sit on the throne
of his glory.
32
All the naons will be gathered before
him, and he will separate people one from another
as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats,
33
and he will put the sheep at his right hand and the
goats at the le.
34
Then the king will say to those
at his right hand, Come, you that are blessed
by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for
you from the foundaon of the world;
35
for I was
hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you
gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and
you welcomed me,
36
I was naked and you gave me
clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was
in prison and you visited me.

37
Then the righteous will answer him, Lord,
when was it that we saw you hungry and gave
you food, or thirsty and gave you something
to drink?
38
And when was it that we saw you a
stranger and welcomed you, or naked and gave
you clothing?
39
And when was it that we saw you
sick or in prison and visited you?
40
And the king will answer them, Truly I tell
you, just as you did it to one of the least of these
who are members of my family, you did it to
me.
41
Then he will say to those at his le hand,
You that are accursed, depart from me into the
eternal re prepared for the devil and his angels;
42
for I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was
thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink,
43
I was a
stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and
you did not give me clothing, sick and in prison
and you did not visit me.
44
Then they also will answer, Lord, when was it
that we saw you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or
naked or sick or in prison, and did not take care
of you?
45
Then he will answer them, Truly I tell
you, just as you did not do it to one of the least
of these, you did not do it to me.
46
And these
will go away into eternal punishment, but the
righteous into eternal life.

A
lmighty and Most Merciful Father,
we come before You, acknowledging
our sins, our shortcomings, and our
breaking of our Covenant with You.
Not only have we done things we ought
not have done, said things we ought not to
have said, le undone so many things we
ought to have done and been silent when
we should have witnessed for You.
Not only are we guilty of that, O Lord; but
we have also closed our eyes and pretended
not to see the injusces, the racism, and
the evil which pervade our everyday lives.
We have shut our ears and pretended
not to hear the cries for liberaon which
come from the lips, lives and hearts of the
oppressed even our own Black brothers
and sisters!
Forgive us, O Lord, renew our courage and
faith, and keep us ever mindful of Thy great
sacrice. Hear us, we beseech Thee, as
we come to You in love and worship giving
Your name the praise forevermore.
******
To All Our Visitors ... To all who mourn
and need comforng ... To all who are
friendless and want friendship ... To all who
are oppressed and need liberaon; and
to whosoever will come, Trinity opens its
doors. Thank you for coming and may God
bless you.
