The Spring Feasts was at the time of the grain harvest and the fall festivals are at the time of the
fruit harvest. The significance of this is that prior to the grain harvest, seed were sown to produce
grain, this represents the sowing of YHVH’s Word. The outpouring of the Spirit took place prior to
the fruit harvest, on the day of Pentecost, and this signifies the fruit of the Spirit during the fruit
Harvest within the season of the Fall Festivals. He equipped us with His Word and His Spirit
during the Spring Festivals and we will bear fruit at the time of the fall Festivals. This gives the
purpose of the Spirit within us; to help us to bear His fruit and to be prepared for His Second

Return or Repent
A special season known as Teshuvah, which in
Hebrew means "to return or repent," begins on the
first day of the month of Elul and continues 40
days, ending with Yom Kippur. Thirty days into
Teshuvah, on Tishrei 1, comes Rosh HaShanah.
This begins a final ten-day period beginning on
Rosh HaShanah and ending on Yom Kippur.
These are known as the High Holy Days and as
the Awesome Days (Yamim Nora'im, the days of
awe). The Sabbath that falls within this ten-day
period is called Shabbat Shuvah, the Sabbath of
Return. Five days after Yom Kippur is Sukkot, the
Feast of Tabernacles. Teshuvah begins on Elul 1
and concludes on Tishrei 10, Yom Kippur. Each
morning during the 30 days of the month of Elul,
the trumpet (shofar) or ram' s horn is blown to
warn the people to repent and return to Elohim.
Teshuvah (repentance) speaks to all people. Those who believe in the Messiah are called to
examine their lives and see where they have departed from Elohim. It is a call to examine the
Scriptures and the evidence that the Messiah was who He said He was.
Elohim has always had a heart to warn people before He proclaims judgment. Elohim warned the
people before the flood, and He warned Nineveh before it was ruined. He does not want anyone
to receive the wrath of His judgment (Ezekiel 18:21-23,30-32; Zephaniah 2:1-3; 33:1-7; 2 Peter
3:9).
The whole month of Elul is a 30-day process of preparation through

which begins with "YHVH is my light and my salvation," is also on the first of Elul and

It is important to understand the meaning of the blowing of the Shofar and we will see the

The year of jubilee happens every seventh year where everybody’s debt was

mourning and is celebrated by a fast. This is the time of the year that the high Priest
went into the Holy of Holies to atone for the sins of the Nation. This is the Sacrifice

5. The Feast of Trumpets – Yom Teruah

All the Feasts in the Scripture are seen as “Jewish Festivals” but that are actually the Festivals of
YHVH, He made them and He instructed His people to observe them. The Festivals of YHVH are
divided into two main groups; the Spring Festivals and the Fall Festivals. We have already
celebrated the Spring Festivals; Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits and Pentecost. The
Feast of Trumpets is the first of the last three Festivals which fall under the Fall Festivals. It is
also known as “the Day of Blowing” or Yom Teruah. All the Festivals are Commandments or
Ordinances that YHVH gave to act as reminders of something that He did for us and what He will
do for us. The Festivals are also time stamps signalling the “work of the Messiah” where He have
divine appointments with man to come and do His work that will benefit us if we obey. The
Festivals are also the “lights on the wall” of the City (Isa ) and will reveal the Messiah to everyone
who is waiting for Him. Nobody would have known that “Jesus” is the Messiah if it wasn’t for the
Spring Festivals, and yet Christians today ignore these Festivals of YHVH and rather follow
Pagan infected religious festivals created by Satan. (Easter & Christmas).
This Feast is celebrated on the first day of the seventh month each year and YHVH declared it to
be a Sabbath where no work is to be done.

Two silver trumpets were used at the Feast of Trumpets and these trumpets
are symbolic of the two houses; Ephraim (Gentiles) and Judah (Jews) who
will assemble at the end of times. Silver is a symbol of purity and this shows
that YHVH’s people need to be prepared and cleansed for His Second
Coming. The blowing of trumpets will cause YHVH to remember His people
and save them in these times of war.

This feast is one of the three Fall Festivals that has not yet been fulfilled
and this is the main reasons for us to observe it. Y’shua will come and
fulfil these three festivals during His Second Coming and these Feasts
are given to us to help us to prepare for His Coming and to recognise
the real Messiah when He comes. The false Christs will not fulfil
YHVH’s Festivals and they will not know the appointed times YHVH
prepared to come and do His final restoration work. The feasts are
called “moed” or appointed times, which gives the timing and sequence
of the work of the Messiah. If you believe in the Messiah and His coming, you should celebrate
His Feasts as preparation for His Coming. YHVH uses a lot of symbolism to foretell the future
events and to give information to His Bride so that she can be ready. These Festivals are full of
symbolism and it reminds us of YHVH’s Plan. The Feast of Trumpets is the Festival that is
symbolic of the event where Y’shua will come to gather His Bride. This is also known as the
Rapture and will take place at the end of the Tribulation.

Back in the good old days, when a man was interested in a woman and wanted to marry her, he
went to the father of his potential bride and made a contract with him by paying an agreed price
for her. When the father accepted the contract, his daughter was put aside or ‘set-apart’ (holy) for
that young man and no one could ask for her hand because she was already spoken for. The
young man had to go back to his father to go and prepare a place for
him and his new bride where they could raise a family. He had two
years in which he could finish their house and after the two years he
would come and take his bride in the middle of the night. He and his
best men came in the middle of the night, blowing on trumpets
(shophar’s) to announce his coming. The girl must be ready by having
a lamp full of oil in her window and when she hears the sound of the
trumpet, she must light her lamp to show him that she is still his and
waiting for him. If she was not at home at his coming, the wedding was
cancelled, if she did not have oil in her lamp, the wedding was
cancelled.

Y’shua is the young man and we are His Bride. He paid with His blood
and sealed the contract for our hand in marriage. He went away to His
Father to go nad prepare a place for us and will come back after “two
years” (2000 years) to come and collect His bride in the middle of the
noght at the sound of the trumpet (rapture).

We should be ready, waiting as his set-apart bride, awaiting his return with our lamps full of oil –
busy with His Word shining His light doing it. When He comes again you better be home and
have your lamp lit, shining His light in this dark world.

These are truly exciting times. But be warned: when the

spirit of Elijah comes, so does the spirit of Jezebel… Jezebel
saw the God-given field of another and wanted it. She was
even willing to kill for it (1 Kings 21). Those controlled by
this spirit, man or woman, likewise see the fruit of others and want it for
themselves. This spirit is driven by Covetousness. To obtain it, like Jezebel, they
spread lies in order to steal, kill, or destroy the rightful owner of the field or fruit. Within an
assembly of believers, some may be envious of how YHVH is using others and this will
open them up for the spirit of Jezebel and this will bring division within the assembly. Do
not allow this to happen and guard your hearts.

Jezebel wanted the field of “Naboth the Jezreelite”. His name means “Fruitful Returning

The Feast of Trumpets is celebrated by the blowing of Trumpets. We will now look at the
different words translated as “trumpet” to seek the deeper wisdom behind the trumpet YHVH
commanded us to blow. There are three words used for trumpets in Scripture:

1. Yobel

2. Shophar

3. Teruah
Yobel is first used in Scripture in Exo 19:13, and it means ‘trumpet’, to bring, lead,
carry, conduct, bear along, ram, ram’s horn, trumpet, cornet, stream.

This is the event where YHVH called His people to Mt Sinai where He spoke the Ten Words or
Commandments to them with an audible voice. When the trumpet sounded long, they could go up

to the mountain. ‘Sounded’ is the word “mashak” and share the same root word used for

the word “masiach” or Messiah. The difference between these two words forms the word

“chake” that means ‘mouth’ and ‘fish hook’. The Messiah

came to sound the trumpet and gather (fishing) out, to bring or to
lead His people out of the nations (sea). When the Messiah comes,
the people will be able to come up the mountain, up to where YHVH
is, into His presence. That means that YHVH came to restore both
houses back to Him at the sounding of the trumpet at the time of the
Second Coming when the Trumpet sounds.

Overcoming death, taking away the separation - Shot or Stoned

Before the first coming of Y’shua, no man was allowed to come close to YHVH because they
would surely die. Death entered the world through sin, which caused man to be separated from
YHVH. Death means separation and we are currently living in a separated state of death and will
one day be restored back to Him.

Shot: There were two ways used to put someone to death; to be shot
with an arrow and to be stoned. The word for ‘shot’ is “yarah” (shot,
flow as water, rain), and it’s verbal root is “tor” which is the basis for
the word “Torah”, which is the name for YHVH’s Law. This gives us the
first way of how to “die “ to the flesh so that we can approach Him
Y’shua is known as the Word (Torah) of YHVH that is living in our
hearts through His indwelling Spirit.

Stoned: The other way they used to put people to death was through
stoning. The word for stone is “aben”, as in a stone used to build
something. The only place that is build with stones and is connected to
death is the stone altar that was used for sacrifices. The sacrificial system was in place to help to
reconcile man back unto YHVH so that man can be restored back unto YHVH.
Y’shua became the perfect Sacrifice so that we can be restored back into His presence. This is
the second way to “die” so that the separation “death” between YHVH and us can be removed
and so that we can be restored back unto Him.

We see that these two ways YHVH put into place to cancel death so that man could be prepared
and changed and could be restored back to Him. YHVH did not change; man initially changed
through sin and death and must change from the fallen state, to be restored back into YHVH’s
presence.
Y’shua’s blood (brazen altar) and the water of the Word (Laver) are the two obligated things you
have to go through to enter into the Holy place and the Holy of Holies. These two are in balance
with each other in a Menorah pattern and you need both to be restored back to YHVH. We need
to be “shot” (accept the Torah) and “stoned” (accept Y’shua’s Sacrifice) in order to be
restored back into YHVH’s presence.

2. Shophar

The word “shophar” is first used in Scripture in Ex 19:16 and

it means - beauty, goodness, to be pleasing, be beautiful, be
fair, be comely, be bright, glisten. The word “Shophar”

consists of the two parts “Shin”, meaning ‘teeth’ or ‘fire’

During their sojourn in Babylonia our ancestors began to use the pagan
Babylonian month names, a fact readily admitted in the Talmud:
2 0 8 &"' 4
*J ' ' / 6 ,
Some of the Babylonian month names found their way into the later
books of the Tanakh, but they always appear alongside the Torah month
names. For example, Esther 3:7 says:
2 . /0 D / 0 '
" $ 1# 4
This verse starts off by giving the Torah name for the month (“First
Month”) and then translates this month into its pagan equivalent (“which
is the month of Nissan”). By the time of Esther all the Jews lived within
the boundaries of the Persian Empire and the Persians had adopted the
Babylonian calendar for the civil administration of their Empire. At first the Jews used these
Babylonian month names alongside the Torah month names but over time the Torah month
names fell into disuse.
One field of Babylonian religious influence was in the observance of Yom Teruah as a New
Years celebration. From very early times the Babylonians had a lunar-solar calendar
very similar to the biblical calendar. The result was that Yom Teruah often fell out on
the same day as the Babylonian New Years festival known as “Akitu”. Akitu fell out on
the 1st day of Tishrei which coincided with Yom Teruah on the 1st day of the Seventh
Month. The fact that the Jews had started calling the Seventh Month by the Babylonian
name Tishrei paved the way for turning Yom Teruah into a Jewish Akitu. At the same time
the Rabbis did not want to adopt Akitu outright so they Judaized it by changing the name of
Yom Teruah (Day of Shouting) to Rosh Hashanah (New Years).
It may seem bizarre to celebrate Yom Teruah as New Years considering that it falls
out on the first day of the Seventh Month, but in the context of the Babylonian culture
this was perfectly natural. The Babylonians actually celebrated Akitu, New Years, twice
every year, once on the first of Tishrei and again six months later on the first of Nissan. The
first Babylonian Akitu celebration coincided with Yom Teruah and the second Akitu
coincided with the actual New Years in the Torah on the first day of the First Month. While
the Rabbis proclaimed Yom Teruah to be New Years they readily admitted that the 1st day
of the “First Month” in the Torah was, as its name implied, also a New Years. They could
hardly deny this based on Exodus 12:2 which says:
2 '
'& " &1 1 =
" 4
The context of this verse speaks about the celebration of the Feast of Unleavened Bread
which falls out in the First Month. In light of this verse the Rabbis could not deny that the first
day of the First Month was a biblical New Years. But in the cultural context of Babylonia
where Akitu was celebrated as New Years twice a year, it made perfect sense that Yom
Teruah could be a second New Years even though it was in the Seventh Month.
In contrast to Babylonian paganism, the Torah does not say or imply that Yom Teruah
has anything to do with New Years. On the contrary, the Feast of Sukkot (Booths)
which takes place exactly two weeks after Yom Teruah is referred to in one verse as
“the going out of the year” (Ex 23:16). No one would ever call January 15 in the modern
Western calendar “the going out of the year” and the Torah would not describe Sukkot in
this manner if it intended Yom Teruah to be celebrated as a New Years.

Leviticus chapter 16, specifies the tenth of Tishrei as the date on which the high priest shall
conduct a special ceremony to purge defilement from the shrine and from the people. The heart
of the ritual is that the high priest shall bring a bull and two goats as a special offering.

First, the bull is sacrificed to cleanse him and his household from
any defilement. (Leviticus 16:6). Secondly, one of the two goats is
chosen by lot to be sacrificed to purge the sin of the whole of
Israel of any similar defilement (Leviticus 16:7-8). Finally, the
second goat is sent away, not sacrificed, to be for cleansing of
the people. The goat is marked for Azazel and is sent away to
wander in the wilderness (Leviticus 16:10). Before the goat is sent
out, the high priest lays both his hands upon its head and
confesses over it all the iniquities and transgressions of the Israelites, whatever their misdeeds,
and so putting them on the head of the goat. Figuratively, the goat then takes their sins away
from them into the wilderness.

The Hebrew word for scapegoat is azazel. Azazel was seen as a

type of Satan in the Book of Enoch (8:1). The sins of the people
and thus the punishment of the people were laid upon azazel the
scapegoat. He would bear the sins of the people and the
punishment of the people would be upon him. Azazel being sent
into the wilderness to a steep cliff, and shoved off the cliff. This is
understood to be a picture of Satan being cast into the lake of fire
(Revelation 19:20).

Let's take a closer look at this ceremony found in Leviticus 16:7-10. In Leviticus 16:8, the first lot
said, " La Adonai " (To YHWH). The second lot said, "La Azazel" (To the scapegoat). The high
priest took the two golden lots, one marked La Adonai and the other marked La Azazel, and
placed one upon the head of each animal, sealing their fate. It was considered a good omen if the
lot marked La Adonai was drawn by the priest in the right hand (spiritual), but for 40 years prior to
the destruction of the temple in 70 C.E., the lot La Adonai was drawn by the priest on the left
hand (Talmud, Yoma 39a). In any event, the sins of the people were laid upon the scapegoat
(Leviticus 16:21-22). Except for the 40 years prior to the destruction of the second temple, the lot
La Yahweh came out on the right hand of the priest and the lot La Azazel came out on the left
hand of the priest. This was the time when Y’shua died for our sin and the “good omen” changed
for them.
Y’shua during His first coming was a type of the goat marked La Adonai. Y’shua was a sin
offering to us as Elohim laid upon Him the sins of the whole world (Isaiah 53:1-6; 1 Corinthians
15:3; Galatians 1:3-4; 1 John 2:2; 4:10).

You might say, wait a minute; didn’t He fulfil the Passover Sacrifice? Yes He did and that has to
do with leaving Egypt or repentance, which is the start of your journey. This sacrifice has to do
with judgment, at the end of your journey. Your sin will be “taken away” from you as you journey
through the wilderness if you live a set apart life and wash yourself with the Word. This is where
Y’shua will represent the second goat and will take our sin away from us forever so that we can
dwell with Him. In the ceremony of the two goats, both goats were considered as one offering. A
crimson sash was tied around the horns of the goat marked azazel. At the appropriate time, the
goat was led to a steep cliff in the wilderness and shoved off the cliff.
In connection with this ceremony, an interesting tradition arose that is mentioned in the Mishnah.
A portion of the crimson sash was attached to the door of the temple before the goat was sent
into the wilderness.
The sash would supernaturally turn from red to white as the goat met its end, signalling to the
people that Elohim had accepted their sacrifices and their sins were forgiven and taken away
from them completely. This was based upon Isaiah 1:18. As stated earlier, the Mishnah tells us
that 40 years before the destruction of the temple, the sash stopped turning white. This, of
course, was when Y’shua was slain on the tree. Very interesting.

!
In order to enter the Holy of Holies, the high priest was first to bathe his entire body, going
beyond the mere washing of hands and feet as required by other occasions. The washing
symbolized his desire for purification (Numbers 19). The washing was of his clothes and his flesh
(Numbers 8:5-7; 19:7-9). This was done in conjunction with taking the blood of an animal with the
finger and sprinkling the blood upon the altar (Number 19:1-4; Leviticus 8:13-15). The spiritual
understanding of this is given in Hebrews 9; and 10:19-22.

We are cleansed with the blood of Y’shua and can now enter into the presence of the Father
through Him, being the sin offering. We need to wash ourselves with His Word to be clean before
Him. This is also known as repentance. Atonement is the word “kaphar” and consists of the
letters “caf” (hand), “pey” (mouth) and “resh” (human reasoning or thoughts). These are the three
areas that needs to be cleansed so that we can stand pure before YHVH. There is no other sin
offering other than Him and the absence of the Temple confirms this fact because there ma not
be any sacrifices made without the Temple or Tabernacle (according to the Torah).

The high priest could only go into the Holy of Holies once a year (Leviticus 16:2; Hebrews 9:6-7).

Sin cannot exist before YHVH just like darkness cannot exist in light. YHVH’s Holiness will
consume anybody with sin and it is dangerous to approach YHVH. But because on the Day of
Atonement the priest could be in Elohim' s presence, another term for the Day of Atonement is
"face to face." "Face to face" terminology was used in First Corinthians 13:9-12, as it is written:

'& 0 "9 0 '/ )
'/ '/ 1 '6 & 0 & / 0 "

Both verse 11 and the phrase in verse 12, "For now we see through a glass, darkly" come from
the Jewish Midrash. "Face to face" is an idiom for Yom Kippur. At that moment, the nation had to
hold its breath because the nation' s fate depended upon Elohim' s accepting the sacrifice. At that
point, the high priest was "face to face with the mercy seat of Elohim." When the high priest
entered the Holy of Holies, he saw YHVH’s presence as a brilliant cloud hovering above the
mercy seat (Leviticus 16:2). The word for mercy seat in Hebrew is kapporet. It comes from the
root word kaphar, which is the same word used for "atonement." The mercy seat can also be
translated as the seat of atonement. The mercy seat is described in detail in Exodus 25:17-22
and 37:6-9. This is the place where Moses met and spoke with Elohim face to face (Exodus
25:22; 30:6; 7:89). On the mercy seat is the Blood of Y’shua and under the mercy seat is the
Commandments of YHVH. You may only access the Commandments of YHVH if you have
accepted the blood of His Atonement. In other words, you need to be washed and cleansed and
forgiven through repentance to be able to understand and follow His Commandments and way of
life. We are cleansed by His Blood and by His Water (Commandments), and we can enter into
His presence, “Face to face”, without dying.

Afflictions is seen as denying yourself any fleshly pleasures and one of the best ways to do this is
through fasting; not eating or drinking for that day. The Torah says three times, "And this shall be
to you a law for all times: In the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month you shall practice
self-denial"; tradition interprets self-denial as fasting. For this reason, Yom Kippur is known as
"The Fast Day."
Y’shua went into the wilderness for forty days, praying and fasting, after He was anointed by the
Holy Spirit and He then started His ministry. This is prophetic because He took our sin away from
us and was cast off into hell where He took the keys of death so that we might escape the
punishment for sin. You should fast and pray for your sin and use this day to lay everything
before YHVH so that you might be cleansed and prepared to be used by YHVH and stand in
service unto Him. You will also bring unsaved loved ones in remembrance before YHVH and
intercede for them and plead grace over their lives so that He might open up their eyes and they
might repent and come into His Kingdom.

We see Yom Kippur as one of the Festivals that have not been fulfilled in relation of the Prophetic
Timeline as stipulated by the Seven Festivals. Yet we have seen in the previous sections that
Y’shua actually did fulfil Yom Kippur through His death and the atonement He made for us with
His Blood as confirmed in the Book of Hebrews. This is one Festival that has a double meaning
and applies to the First Coming as well as the Second Coming. The Day of Atonement focuses
on the Day of Judgment where Passover focused on the day of Repentance. This is the time
where you will need atonement, at His Second Coming where He will come to judge all of
humanity and will cast those who have sin on their heads, into the lake of fire just like the
scapegoat.

This was a year and day of liberty. Y’shua came to preach this liberty
at His first coming (Isaiah 61:1-3; Luke 4:17-21). From Adam, it has
been almost 6,000 years and 120 Jubilees. The number 120 points
to the end of the age of the flesh and the reign of the life of the spirit
(Genesis 6:3). The ultimate fulfilment of the year of Jubilee will take
place at the second coming of Messiah where we will return to our
possession (Garden of Eden – New Jerusalem). The earth will be
redeemed and made new and will come into full and complete rest
from the curse brought upon it by Adam' s sin. Complete restoration of man' s lost inheritance will
take place. Elohim'
s people will be totally set free -- set at liberty, from all sin, sickness and
disease, death, and the curse and will enter into His rest. The Tabernacle of Elohim will be with
men and He will dwell with them (Revelation 21:1-4). So, the year of Jubilee and the day of
Atonement speak of the fullness of the redemptive plan of Elohim for man.

If you examine the Scriptures concerning the second coming of Y’shua back to earth, when He
will set His foot upon the Mount of Olives and “purge” the earth from all unrighteousness.

7. The Feast of Tabernacles - Sukkot

In his first inspired sermon after receiving the Holy Spirit on Pentecost (Shavuot), the apostle
Peter summed up Elohim' s instruction for mankind: "Repent therefore and be converted, that your
sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of YHVH, and
that He may send Y’shua the Messiah, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must

What are these "times of refreshing" and "times of restoration" of which Peter spoke?
Elohim' s plan for mankind involves restoration. You can only restore to something perfect that
existed previously; the “Garden of Eden state”. The Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) symbolizes the
restoration process to their original form as YHVH Created it in the Beginning before sin came.
This started with Messiah’s First Coming and will be completed with the return of Y’shua the
Messiah, pictured by the Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruah), and the banishment of Satan,
depicted by the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur).
Once these events have taken place, as represented by the previous Holy Days, the foundation is
in place for the restoration of the creation to peace and harmony with Elohim. He came the first
time to restore man spiritually, giving him His Spirit (Spring Festivals). He will restore man
physically during His Second Coming, giving us renewed sinless bodies (Fall Festivals).

The seven-day Feast of Tabernacles pictures the 1,000-year reign of Y’shua the Messiah over
the earth after His second coming (Revelation 20:4). This period is often called the Millennium,
which simply means "1,000 years." This Feast also reflects the "rest" symbolized by the weekly
Sabbath (Hebrews 4:1-11) that celebrates the great harvest of humanity when all living people
will learn Elohim's ways.

The Restoration process is not only restoring things back to their perfect original state, it is also to
restore back His people, the scattered tribes as well as the gentile nations, to be grafted back in
to Israel. Humanity will at last be restored to a right relationship with Elohim (Isaiah 11:9-10). This
is the Rest that we will enter in the Seventh Millennium which is a 1000 year Sabbath and also
the Marriage Feast.
In the beginning, Elohim created mankind to cooperate with Him in a beautiful relationship
characterized by love, peace and obedience to His Torah. At the completion of His creation,
"Elohim saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good" (Genesis 1:31).
This time of peace and harmony abruptly ended because of Satan' s deception and man' s
disobedience (Genesis 3:1-6). Disobedience cut mankind off from Elohim' s way (Genesis 3:21-
24). Genesis 6:5 describes the tragic result: "Then YHVH saw that the wickedness of man was
great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."

This broken relationship between Elohim and man has continued through history to our time. Paul

The name of the Feast of Tabernacles derives from Elohim' s command to ancient Israel to build
temporary "tabernacles," sometimes called "booths," to live in during the festival. The Israelites
left their houses and built temporary dwelling places (Hebrew succah, meaning "hut of woven
boughs") to live in while rejoicing before Elohim. These reminded them of their release from
slavery and their dwelling in booths when Elohim brought them out of Egypt (Leviticus 23:34, 41-
43). In stark contrast to the hardship of slavery, this festival emphasizes rest, peace and
prosperity as it meets the needs of all people, including strangers, widows and the poor.

The Scripture emphasizes that, as with booths or temporary dwellings, our physical life is
transitory. The apostle Paul'

Tabernacles is an annual reminder of our temporary state and that we also "seek a homeland"
(verse 14). This lesson is reinforced when we travel to a site of the Feast of Tabernacles and stay
in temporary dwellings such as hotels and campgrounds. This festival reminds us that, in spite of
our material possessions, we are still mortals in need of a literal transformation so we may
possess eternal life (1 Corinthians 15:50-54). In the accounts of the vision that has come to be
called the "transfiguration," Y’shua gave a glimpse of the Kingdom of Elohim to Peter, James and
John. The Messiah appeared to be talking with Moses and Elijah. Peter' s immediate response
was to suggest that they quickly construct three tabernacles. He seemed to understand the
important connection between tabernacles and our quest for eternal life in Elohim' s Kingdom (see
Matthew 17:1-9; Luke 9:27-36).

The Feast of Tabernacles is also a preparation process where

we have to learn to live as a community together so that we will
be ready if we have to leave the “System” and dwell in “tents”
during the Tribulation. We will follow the same pattern as the
exodus where the Israelites left Egypt and dwelled in tents. We
will also leave ”Egypt” (world system), to escape the plagues
prepared for it at the end of time. We will also not be exposed to
the mark of the Beast, which may be enforced on those who are
still in the “system” during those terrible times.

The judgment of the inhabitants of the earth who live during the 1,000 years as pictured by the
Feast of Tabernacles (Isaiah 2:4; 51:4-5) begins in earnest as The Messiah brings "many sons to

These scriptures show that this judgment is a time of universal opportunity for salvation. The
living that was not caught up with Messiah will remain on the earth for a 1,000 years and this
period is known as the Winepress.

For this purpose Elohim has allocated 1,000 years during which the resurrected saints, the
firstfruits of Elohim'
s harvest, will reign with The Messiah on earth as kings and priests so many
others can enter Elohim' s Kingdom (Revelation 5:10; 20:6).

Messiah' s return will experience the unparalleled opportunity to work with Him to help all nations
build a relationship with Elohim. The foundation for this relationship begins with instruction on
Elohim' s Torah. Other prophets described the time as an era of Elohim' s Torah covering the earth
" # " (Isaiah 11:9; Habakkuk 2:14). This is the manifestation of the
prophetic meaning of Noah’s Flood. The water that covered the Earth is the Torah of Elohim that
will cover all the peoples of the Earth and they have to submit to it. Noah’s Flood was a time of
judgment and this 1,000 years is a time of judgment that will be as a greater Tribulation that will
squeeze the “grapes” into the “Cup” of YHVH.

Many will assist Y’shua the Messiah in this universal educational program of helping others
understand Elohim' s way. Speaking of this time, Isaiah says teachers " ( ! (

The choice is yours; will you be part of the Bride who will help to bring in these people or will you
be part of this terrible Winepress experience where you will be “squeezed” into submission to His
Torah?

All through Elohim's plan for saving humanity, He never forces anyone to obey Him. Every person
is free to choose what he or she will do and whether to accept or reject Elohim' s way of life. After
the 1,000 years, Elohim will allow Satan to test the spiritual convictions of the earth'
s inhabitants.
Revelation 20:7-10 describes this time.

Elohim will loose the devil from his place of restraint and allow him to deceive those who are not
convicted of the perfect righteousness of Elohim' s way. Elohim will destroy by fire those who
follow Satan in this rebellion.

Satan's futile efforts will be thwarted. This final, tragic rebellion against Elohim will come to
nothing, and Satan' s destructive, deceitful influence over humanity will finally draw to a close.
