Fibre Optical Underground Sewer System

FOCUS (Fibre Optical Underground Sewer System) Is A Safe And Secure Method Of Building Fibre Networks Uniquely And Innovatively Utilises The Waste Water Network To Install Fibre Optic Networks Rigorously Researched And Tested Quick Deployment Allows Easy Planning Secure Network: The Sewer System Has Stood The Test Of Time And Now Underpins Business Continuity Fastest, Most Cost Effective, And Environmentally Sound Fibre Optic Network Methodology.

Fibre Optic Cable Underground Sewer Project

P R O J E C T
CONCEPT AND SCOPE OF WORK To install 500KM of fiber optical networks(dark fibers) inside Abu Dhabi sewerage network(owned by (ADWEA) to connect all transformer stations. Total nr of connections projected 2300 points. The Installation Techniques Are Based On H2O Networks, The Pioneer Of Providing Fiber Connectivity Via The UK's 360,000 Miles Of Sewers Www.H2o-networks.Uk.Net C L I E N T : A B U D H A B I W AT E R A N D E L E C T R I C I T Y AU T H O R I T Y ( A D W E A )

PROJECT STEPS
STEP 1 : SAFETY STEP 2 : PHYSICAL SURVEY STEP 3 : PIPELINE CLEANING STEP 4 : PIPELINE CCTV INSPECTION STEP 5 : LAYING THE ROPE STEP 6 : LAYING THE CABLE STEP 7 : PIPELINE CCTV INSPECTION STEP 8 : SPLICING, TERMINATION & TESTING

STEP 1 : SAFETY
IGCS encourages all staff and third parties to work together to create a healthy and safe working environment. The process is a fundamental part of Health and Safety at Work Act. It manages potential dangers in the workplace.

STEP 1 : SAFETY
Traffic Management is the first step to protect the site from any sudden incident.

IGCS apply very high standard in Personal Protective Equipment PPE

STEP 1 : SAFETY
Manholes ventilation is a main procedure to ensure that no dangerous gases available in the pipelines

Using Certified Tripods and winches IS the key priority in IGCS Safety Procedures.

STEP 2 : PHYSICAL SURVEY

STEP 2 : PHYSICAL SURVEY

It is necessary to inform the relevant water company of the intention to initiate the installation of dark fibre in sewer networks. This step is important to know, if the selected route can be applicable or not. To ensure that each consecutive manhole is linked, and that the correct inlet and outlet of each manhole can be identified, each section of the sewer line can be dye tested if required.

STEP 3 : PIPELINE CLEANING

The pipeline and manholes should be clean in all work stages. IGCS is using full automatic water recycling system (One-Tank-System)

STEP 3 : PIPELINE CLEANING

The system is based on the concept of cleaning the water physically. It consists out of seven cleaning steps with the following main components. Sedimentation Self-cleaning water passage with bell shaped closure Cyclones

STEP 3 : PIPELINE CLEANING

STEP 4 : PIPELINE CCTV INSPECTION

The aim of CCTV inspection before roping and cabling is to know the pipeline situation and identify any crack or damage in it.

STEP 5 : Laying the Rope

To install the cable in the sewer pipeline, we lay PE rope from one manhole to other one as per route design plan.

STEP 6 : FOC Laying

The Cable is containing optical fibres which are sensitive to excessive pulling, bending, and crushingrecord.

STEP 6 : FOC Laying

IGCS team is trained to deal with FOC cautiously and efficiently.

STEP 7 : PIPELINE CCTV INSPECTION

The aim of CCTV inspection after the cabling step is to ensure that the cable is fixed properly without any damage .

STEP 7 : Splicing
IGCS acquire modern and high technology FOC splicing equipment to make sure that FOC Sewer Network is working accurately .

IGCS has FOC portable laboratory furnished with all required equipment for Splicing works.

STEP 7 : Splicing
Fiber optic splicing involves joining two fiber optic cables together.

IGCS engineers are trained and qualified to do splicing and its relative works effectively .
