REGIONALGEOGRAPHIC AND NODALFUNCTIONAL CONCEPT IN THE CONTEXT OF THE CONTEMPORARY GEOGRAPHICAL MOVEMENTS Summary In this work, we have considered the origin and development of the regio-geographical and nodal-functional concept, its actuality and perspectives in the contemporary conceptions of the spatial development. Regio-geographical and nodal-functional concept and paradigm of the functionalism are imposed as the imperative in outlining more rational organizing, utilizing and arrangement of the space, or in other words, the stimulation of the total sustainability of spatial development.
