Introduction

T h i s s e c t i o n i n t ro duces the basic componen ts of the Yogen Frz logo. These include the Yogen F r z w o rd m a r k , t a g l i n e a n d s m i l e y i c o n . T h e s t a n d a rd s s e t out here will help you to apply each of these elements correctly on everything f ro m s i g n a g e a n d p r i n t c o m m u n i c a t i o n s t o p a c k a g i n g . T h e y will help you present the Yogen Frz brand clearly and consistently, so that i t s e n d s a p o w e r f u l m e s s a g e a b o u t q u a l i t y, f re s h n e s s a n d l e a dership.

The Yogen Frz Brandmark is composed of the custom blue lettering and pink smiley icon. The tagline its all about can be used when necessary to communicate the personal customization aspect of the brand. Together, these elements form the core of our new visual identity, representing our master logo. Whenever the master logo appears, from the store signage, to the packaging and website, it is a symbol of our values. Therefore it is essential that we use the mark properly and consistently. Above all, we must ensure that the typography and the icon remain in their fixed relationship to each other with proper clear space.

Logo Guidelines

minimum clear space


To protect the integrity and clarity of the Yogen Frz brandmark, a minimum amount of clear space equivalent to four of the smiley icon dots should surround the brandmark. This space is intended to separate and protect the brandmark from other elements such as pictures, text, slogans or other symbols and applies to all other applications of the brand.

It is important that the Yogen Frz Brandmark is clearly visible and printable when reduced in size. The acceptable minimum size of the master logo is 1/16 high with respect to the letter z in Yogen Frz. The acceptable miniumum size of the Yogen Frz master logo with tagline is 1/8 high.

The proprietary colours of the Yogen Frz master logo are blue (PMS 2925) and pink (PMS 204). These colours have been specifically selected as part of our core visual brand identity. Together, they are a powerful symbol of our vision and our core brand values. The colours shown on this page have been produced by a colour copier and are not an exact match to the Pantone targets specified. For accurate colour, please refer to a current edition of the Pantone Colour Formula Guide.

incorrect use of the Yogen Frz logo


The consistent application of the Yogen Frz logo is essential to building and maintaining brand recognition. Always follow the guidelines presented in these graphic standards. The logo should never be altered or redrawn in any way. The examples on this page illustrate several unacceptable uses of the Yogen Frz logo. Always use the appropriate reproduction digital art for the logo.

DO NOT condense, expand or distort the Brandmark in any way.

DO NOT use colour combinations that deviate from the outlined logo colours.

DO NOT recreate the Brandmark, or use any artwork that is not approved.

DO NOT use the Brandmark on a background that is distracting and interferes with legibility.

DO NOT alter the scale of any graphic elements of the Brandmark.

In order to maintain brand consistency across all printed materials, a set of two typefaces must be used to print Yogen Frz copy. Our primary typeface is Chalet Nineteen Sixty, conveys a fun, fresh spirit and is appropriate for brand personality communications. Our secondary typeface is Helvetica Neue, a confident and contemporary face that is easy to read.

3.1

Asset Strategy

1. Create transparency - the exterior should have an open and unobstructed view into the store to welcome customers and showcase the environment. In the interior of the sit-down environments keep the space open by using clear panels to separate the seating areas. 2. Use white dramatically - the environment should be primarily white to create a bright, fresh feel. Think of white as representing the product with vibrant accents of blue and pink representing the fruit that is added to the product. 3. Highlight freshness allow customer to get a close up view of the fresh fruit toppings and various condiments at the point of purchase to promote health freshness and create appetite appeal. The use of large product photography on the menu panels will promote emotion and anticipation of the experience. 4. Use lighting purposefully use soft lighting over food display for optimum presentation and over seating areas for a feeling of comfort. Create dramatic lighting to highlight brand graphics and emphasize architectural detailing. 5. Isolate the icon use the propriety icon in isolation within the environment to begin to build equity with the consumer. 6. Frame the experience - on the exterior use the white storefront surround as a framing element that directs the attention through to the interior.

1. Create a path position the order counter so that the site line from the entrance is direct and immediate. Create an unencumbered path of travel for the customer to the point of purchase and then into the seating area. 2. Use a variety of seating types create separate and distinct seating areas catering to a variety of party sizes and experiences. Bar height seats create a social atmosphere, while signature lounge seats provide comfort and a relaxed environment. 3. Create signature seating utilize signature seating elements to create consistency between locations. Maintaining key proprietary elements in the design details.

The exterior sign is the most powerful sign we have. It must present the brand name in a quality way that is a promise of the experience to follow and engage the customer from a distance. The exterior sign is the most powerful sign we have. It must present the brand name in a quality way that is a promise of the experience to follow and engage the customer from a distance. The sign must only contain the logo- no other information should appear (ie: phone number, web address, tagline or other brand attribute copy).
