It has been a fabulous year, busy year, a Richie McCaw year ;-) So thank you to all of the kids, the parents and our wider Pukeokahu Community (including you guys in email land), for the help and support you have given us through out the year. Please make sure you read the information below, and contact me asap if you have any questions about our very busy final week. School Picnic - Bike Ride to the Lodge (Monday) I have sent home a full schedule for the day with the kids. We will run the same programme as last year. I am not too sure if we will manage a swim (a bit chilly?) but pack in some warm gear and the kids can have a paddle at least. Our bad weather back up is a normal school morning, with a shared BBQ lunch with a movie and popcorn for the kids in the afternoon. School Books and Readers Since its the end of year, please have a very thorough look for any school library books or junior readers that need to be returned before the end of school.

Pukeokahu School Movie Premier - Wednesday 14th December You are all invited to our school Movie Premier at the Taihape Majestic Movie Theatre (see back of newsletter for the flyer). School will start at 10am at the Majestic in town, do not come to school before hand. We will set up and practise before parents and public are invited to join us at 11am. Please bring a plate for morning tea. The students will be presenting their displays about how they created the movies before we go up to watch in the theatre. After the premier, we will have Fish and Chips at the Rec. before we have our final swimming lesson at the pools at 1.30pm. Any questions, please contact Marama. End of Year Celebration - Friday 16th December School will finish at 12.30pm on Friday. At 11.30am we will have our School Celebration at the District Hall. The junior children are preparing a small surprise for the parents, which will be followed by a short celebration and farewell ceremony to our school leavers. All are welcome to attend. District Christmas Party - Friday 9th December Dont forget, our District Christmas Party is on tomorrow night beginning at 5pm. Please bring an item for the grocery raffle and a present for the Kids Santas Sack (less than $15).
